Has anyone got/used one of these to make shakes and used it to mix/crush ice. What are peoples opinions of it?

I used to love the kenwood one as mixed the shake up really well BUT
my last one died wouldn't crush the ice, and recently got one from argos but i think there is a batch problem as my button broke everytime it went to pulse, had 3 replacements which did the same.
So gave up and got a hand whisk. Just check when you buy them, i did love it tho

I use the kenwood smoothie to go to do all my powdered shakes.
I used about 250mls of water, 4-5 ice cubes, add the powder, screw on the lid and shake.
I then blend on low for 5 seconds and high for 10 seconds, shake again and repeat.
What you get is a lovely, fluffy, icy shake which is a pleasure to drink- yum!!

I've got one and love it - do all my cold shakes in it.
Advantages are only one thing to wash up as you make the shake in the same cup that you drink it from
