So I was doing the tea dishes about an hour ago and I told hubby I felt dizzy and I was shaking he told me I needed to eat and I said no I'll be fine the next thing I know I was waking up on the kitchen floor! I have had to eat and now I feel awful for eating hubby rung the doctor and he told hubby that I am burning more calories than I'm eating and I need to either up my calories or give up the gym! I don't want to do either of them so me n hubby had a huge argument! What should I do!

i think you need to think about your health first of all! if your fainting then somethings not right and i'll be honest and say i agree with your hubby. Calm down on the gym and go a bit easier on your body.

There are a lot of good reasons to not overdo exercise. Mainly the effect on heart muscle. Moderate exercise 20 mins is advised and that is to avoid damage to heart muscle. If you are feeling faint it is simply calories out more than calories in. You don't have to give up the diet or exercise but be moderate. Stick to 20 mins and stop before you are exhausted. It will not make you lose weight any faster, if anything it pushed the body into hibernation or starvation mode very quickly.
So add another packet or exercise less for a while. Drink more water but don't risk your long term health.

If you are doing more than you are supposed to do maybe have an extra shake or add a meal x

Sounds like you are over doing the exercise. Maybe just cut down the amount of days you go or the length of time your there? If not maybe go with WS instead of TS. X

You need to listen to your doctor. If youre into negative calories then it's going to be detrimental. You need to be sensible and either cut down significantly on the exercise or rethink your diet

As already said you really do need to increase your calories or reduce your exercise - or a bit of both.

Make an appointment with your GP and have some blood tests and your blood pressure taken. For some people not eating causes low blood pressure which can lead to fainting. This is a really common thing with any kind of calorie restriction or fasting, but you have to be really sure that your bloodwork is OK and that your potassium level has not dropped to a harmful level. If your GP doesn't understand (which many don't) and insists you have to eat, then you have to make your own decision based on what your bloodwork says, whether it's normal or not. I know my GP seems to know less about the human body than the locksmith down the street, so I never bother to ask him anything. I hope your GP is more competent!

My gp is amazing she sees me once a month the weigh me n check my blood pressure sadly hubby rang an out of hours dr n he was one of them who hate vlcd!

Well, you're having regular check ups which is good........ sorry you had such a turn yesterday hun :( Have you seen your gp since you started doing all this extra at the gym? Just asking cos maybe you need extra fuel when you're doing so much:confused: Let us know how you get on..... not got to your diary yet so if you've updated there just ignore me here :) x

Scary! OP I hope you're feeling better now.

It's generally not a good idea to combine very low energy intakes with a lot of activity. It can actually slow down fat loss: Why Big Caloric Deficits and Lots of Activity Can Hurt Fat Loss | BodyRecomposition - The Home of Lyle McDonald

You're better off choosing EITHER a big calorie deficit OR lots of activity (and generally for rapid fat loss a big energy defecit will be superior to lots of energy until you're nearer to goal because it's easier to cut out lots of calories than to exercise them off). Of course you can go the middle route and have a moderate deficit with moderate amounts of activity but that's unlikely to give you as good results as 'big energy deficit + low activity'.

I'm sure your husband is just worried about you and doesn't want you to come to any harm.

If you are passing out that is a bad sign... you dont need to wreck your diet but just a little extra, keep to your shakes and add a chicken salad or something along those lines. You have to listen to your body, sometimes the goal of skinnydom takes over our minds and we crave for that to happen as fast as possible... so what if adding a low carb meal on days you go to the gym makes u lose half a pound less a week... it will add a few weeks into it BUT your be healthy. Do not risk your health for this. Whats an extra couple of weeks in the long run?
