.. I need words of encouragement or something, ive put 3lb on this week ... i wouldnt have minded if id have been bad and eaten what i wanted, i even cut chocolate out to see why i stayed the same last week .... and now this?!! I cant see that im doing anything wrong, i have 29 daily points, 49 weekly .. i use about half of my weeklies on my health condition (diabetes) ... so it is impossible to cut back on them, i also run once a week and play 40mins of netball ...... i track everything and point stuff up using my ww calc ..... im thinkin of giving up, as soon ile be back where i started - FAT :sigh:

Could it be fluid retention? A salty meal could do that or TOTM?

Don't give up Claire, you are such an inspiration to me and i know that this is just one of those silly blips that can happen.

Big hugs!

Don't give up - you owe it to yourself!!

:cry:Hey Claire sorry to hear that you've hit a plateau. This happens sometimes. Our bodies are very clever, try doing some different kinds of exercise, combine cardio with resistance training.

You might have gained 3lbs this could be water weight, the time of the month might be around the corner. What are your clothes and the mirror saying?

Stick with it, maybe eat more of your points ironically the eating less than your points might be slowing down your metabolic rate, so you might need to eat your points total to speed it up. Exercise definitely will.

Hope this helps.

Do you write a food diary? If you don't exercise much you can gain 1/2lb from it my leader says although that's with slimming world. I only did old of weight watchers. I'd re-read the book from the beginning and treat it as your first time. Drink more water incase you've held onto some water. What kind of clothes did you wear? Was it the time of the month? Quite a lot can cause gain xxxx

I downed the water yesterday incase it was fluid retention .... i drank atleast 2litres ..... and i peed a hell of a lot, lol ..... I weigh myself in the buff  (as i do it at home) ..... i do feel a bit bloated if im honest ...... thankyou for your suggestions, much appreciated... How annoying is it when you feel you have done well, then this slaps you in the face ... Grrrrr  xxxxx

My mum suggested fluid retention, Yesterday i ate home made beef stew for tea?? maybe that could have been high in salt, altho i only added a pinch myself ..... Thanks Barb, your kind words mean a lot to me ... I just hope its not the silly diabetes biting me in the bum (as usual) ... Thanks for your kind response xxxxx

Well if it is Claire (the diabetes I mean) at least you KNOW you are doing your absolute best. No-one can do more and your journey is made extra difficult through no fault of your own.

More big hugs (plenty more where they came from!)

Hi Claire,

I would suggest upping your water & your calcium intake too as calcium does help in weight loss. It doesn't have to be milk it can be in the form of yogurt or cheese.

Does you eat bread? I've cut bread from my meals this past week & increased my milk intake & I've dropped 7lbs this week!xxx

Ohhhh does it?!! thats good to know ... i drink about half a pint in brews, i tend not to eat much yogurt or cheese, so thanks for that ...... I eat about 4/5 slices a week, if that ... i end up throwing most my bread away coz ive not eaten the loaf, i may try cutting the bread then ..... and wow, congrats on loosing so much, thats amazing, you should be soooo proud of yourself :flirt2::flirt2: thanks for responding, much appreciated xxxx
