A Bit Fed Up...

LollyPop

One Day at a Time
Hello Everyone,

hope you've all had good days. I'm feeling a bit of a moan come on so sorry about this but got noone here in real life to share it with.

My CDC has been on holiday so haven't seen her for a while. My last WI was on 20/8 (Monday) where I was a little disappointed at my approx 1.5lb loss since the previous Thursday - but I had cheated a teeny bit (only protein) so I kinda felt like I deserved it.

Anyway, WI is due tomorrow for I guess 10 days worth of CD'ing and so far by my scales (taking into account the difference between CDC's) I've only lost 3lb. I'm really quite upset about it. I really think it should be more. I weigh myself everyday (I know I really shouldn't) and the scales have been going up and down like a yo-yo all week.

I know I should be happy as some weeks are better than others and it all evens out but I've been exercising and drinking the water and its not my TOTM or anywhere near.

Sorry for the moan just feeling quite down right now...

Hi Lollypop,

Don't be down! I also weigh every day (and know I shouldn't!), and my scales have stayed the same for the last 4 days... not shifted an ounce, even though I've been 100% on SS. So frustrating eh? I think my loss will be pretty poor this week, and I'm only on week 2! But it does really get to me, that I'm living on 400 calories a day or something and STILL not losing weight... at least not according to those bl**dy scales!!!

BUT - on the other hand I can tell I'm losing inches, as my clothes are getting looser, so I just have to keep going until the scales decide to catch up. Logically I know they have to one of these days - just wish they'd hurry up!

So, all I really wanted to say (but ended up waffling!) is, you're not alone, and don't worry - we'll get through this, the weight HAS to come off, we know that, so let's just try to keep going. You can do this - good luck! xx

Hi Lollypop

Please don't apologise for feeling low, it's completely understandable. We all need the motivation of the scales moving, I'm sure if you can just hang in there they will start to move. The only other thing that came to mind is that you mentioned you had been exercising - I've heard that this can potentially slow the scales down but doesn't mean you're not losing.

Hang in there, try looking at your losses on a monthly basis and it usually evens out.x x

Thanks, my exercising really hasn't been much more than I've always done. Swimming twice a week, 2 hour walk at the weekends and aerobics dvd once or twice a week - hardly the amount to create muscle - anyway... you're right - it has to come off sooner or later.

Hiya i know how you feel hun, ive stayed the same for the last 2 weeks and really gettign quite depressed about it but i measure myself weekly and last wk i'd lost 13inches in a week off my whole body, maybe try doing that so that on the weeks the scales done shift much youre tape measure will show the truth :)

Hi
I'm with you there!
My CDC has been on holiday so haven't done my week 2 weigh in - dont feel I've lost any weight but I know I havent been drinking enough water.

My work scales are in Kg and not very accurate - so just going to have to wait till next tues and divide it by 2!

And get glugging that bloody water!

Good luck with your weigh in!
