Hello everyone. Hope we are all doing well :)

Just a quick question really I'm now doing 810 pretty much everyday and am bored of chicken and broccoli so want to try more. Plus chicken is expensive and chickpeas aren't but have no idea what to do with them?! Any hints tips or cd friendly recipes would be very much appreciated!!! And I hope I'm reading my book correctly in thinking I can have nearly the whole can?? That's a load of chickpeas. Mmmmmm Thanks in advance. Nat :)

I made a chickpea curry with 0% yoghurt and spinach...I cook Indian from scratch quite a lot so I have loads of cumin and fennel seeds and fenugreek and spice mixes lying around so I just roast and grind some up in a pan and cook the chickpeas and mush them with the spices a bit and pop 2 bricks of frozen spinach and add some fresh coriander and a bit of chilli and spring onion and a spoonful of yoghurt.

You can also make a chickpea burger...

Mmmm thanks cerulean. Off to see my auntie who lives on brick lane this weekend. I'm gonna puck myself up some spices while I'm there!! Yumm

Nat - to save on bulk - try to find a good garam masala - it'll be more than enough for what you need. Heating it in a dry pan before you add it to the curry is the secret so that the oils in the mix release the flavours.

Also - wow - living on Brick Lane - that would mean I was 5 mins walk from my office - how amazing!

Well just off brick lane. Old montague st. :) and thanks for the spice advice. I'm pretty useless when it comes to things I've never cooked before. Also my best mate actually lives ON brick lane. Above the estate agent opposite the 24hr bagel shop. I'm staying a night with him too so MUST RESIST 4AM BAGEL BINGE!!! :-D

Hahaha - that 24hr bagel bake is one of my chief SS sniffing spots ;)
I live opposite a 24 hr bagel place - luckily it's nowhere near as good as the Brick Lane one.
