Sick of jacket potato and beans

when i go to a cafe/pub etc.

Is there anything else i can have? As syn free as possible. Don't care if its not from a sit down place xx

Staying syn free is hard when you eat out, as fattening foods are cheaper to buy in bulk, which is why restaurants like serving them.

A lot of things on the menu also might seems safe but harbour 'hidden syns' in the cooking and preparation, so don't be afraid to ask for things to be omitted in the cooking or served on the side so you can see what you're getting.

Salad, pasta and non-fried potatoes are good along with boiled rice. My favourite is chicken and mushroom (5.5 syns) and boiled noodles. Some places don't have boiled noodles on the menu, again, don't be afraid to ask. My local takeaway were happy to oblige.

Depending on what day you're having just take a look at the menu. Most things are possible, but if you don't want to spend any syns at all, then think about what day you're doing. And remember, you don't have to eat everything. I'm tempted to go to my local for a steak on a red day and ask for extra salad/veg instead of a potato. Completely free :)

P.S. I can completely understand being sick of jacket potato and beans. I find (at home at least) roasted peppers and cottage cheese is my favourite jacket filling, but I get bloated if don't have enough fibre so it's kind of necessary.
