I know this is a contentious issue - but I also know that many of us (me!) do like to add a little ham to our repetoire...
Alas - many supermarket "low-fat" hams have added salt, starch, carbs and other stuff, and can be, frankly, nasty.
So I was really pleased to see that Waitrose now has "fat reduced" whole english ham at their deli counters, which can be sliced to order.
It's described as "typically" 3% fat, and is dense, meaty and rather tasty.
