Barnsley Slimming World Friendly Chip shop

I wish more people would follow suit!

I often think how good it would be to have one supermarket that sold all the SW friendly products instead of having to go to different ones all the time! I go to Sainsburys to buy less than 3% tinned ham and cezch low alcohol lager, Asda for wholemeal pitta breads.... I could go on!!
 
that's funny - our club is held opposite an amazing fish and chip shop and the owner came in tonight, he's a member and he lost 5.5lbs this week. He didn't stay but our c said that if you go in there and tell him you are on slimming world that he will give you appropriate sized portions. Still 15 syns for fish and 22 for chips but at least you know you aren't going over that I suppose!
 
That's a fab idea - they should roll it out nationwide!!! :D
 
what a great idea!! Its a wonder theres not a SW cafe in every town! They would make a bomb in my town anyway!!
 
I wish i had this chip shop near to where i live. I love chip shop chips - i will have to make to with sw chips x
 
Iv been!! And it was lush!! The owner's used to go to my group. I would advise you to order before you go to collect, otherwise you'll be waiting a while. It was quite a long time ago that we went, but it was really really nice. They were trying different ideas for sausages, fishcakes, etc. but they hadn't got anything SW approved when I went....but hopefully they will have now!! When you go, let us know if they do more than just fish and chips :D xx
 
I think I may have to try this place the next time I visit family.

Iv just found out near me there is a Pub/restaraunt that has a slimming world friendly menu, apparantly the owner lost quite a few stone so decided to impliment it in the restaraunt... not tried it yet but am thinking of going next week!

Its called the Half Moon in Lazenby (near Middlesbrough) Ok i know nowhere near Barnsley but thought id mention it anyhow LOL!!! :eating:
 
Think I might take a look at this today. Weigh in is at 7pm so could be very tempted later on. Thanks for the tip. Now I just need to find someone to run with :)
 
Oh my god, how did I not know about this fish and chip shop, I go to ann gath's wombwell group, I'm so excited. We are all going to wetherspoons tonight from group, for a little Xmas party, so I'm going to try and pick wisely, but after a few vino's anything could happen :) x

Our local chipshop did me a kebab by cooking out most of the fat, cutting it thin & serving with a lot of salad, and only a handful of chips, when I got it home the paper it was wrapped in was almost completely dry with no grease spots! Lovely!!
