:tear_drop::tear_drop:hi guys.
iv been reading most of your threads and they have been great motivation and indeed inspiration.
im on day 6 today and im a little miffed/perplexed/confuzzled/angry for the following reason.
i jumped on scales this morning and was expecting at least 5 lb loss or something but no...i had lost 1LB I REPEAT ILB.
how is this possible,i have been 100% since the start except for day 2 when i ate a piece of dh roast chicken but i spat out. i am in ketosis as iv checked.drinking minimum 3ltrs water and drinking all 3 sachets.
this is so disheartening and soul destroying to think that i have not eaten any food in 6 days and have such a small loss. WTF:sign0163::banghead:

Don't panic! :hug99: Scales are stoopid and lie all the time - just remember that, okay?

Right, let's start with the obvious questions.

(1) Did you do your original weigh-in on your own scales or your CWPC's scales? The differences between 2 sets of scales at different times of day can be enormous

(2) Were you on another diet immediately before you started Cambridge (if you were, you won't see a big water weight loss in the first week - just real pounds of fat lost)

and then the less obvious...

(3) Is it TOTM?

(4) Are you constipated?

If none of those answers are providing an answer... there's still no need to panic. Some people have ridiculously disappointing first weeks for no apparently good reason. Just one of those things. :sigh: It'll be water retention. You'll still have lost fat - but it's being hidden by retained water. Believe it or not, your body thinks it's doing a good job when it keeps you at the same weight by not letting your cells release water. It likes to keep things on an even keel...

There's still time for you to drop several pounds overnight, just in time for weigh in. But even if you don't, I can practically guarantee that if you keep the faith and stay SS 100% for week 2 you will see lots and lots of pounds disappearing for next weigh in.

Just keep plodding on - and know that it'll work. It's impossible for it not to work - you aren't consuming enough calories for it to be any other way.

Hang in there! This will work!
