when can i start exercise???

Hello all,im on day one of lipotrim,i feel a little lethargic but i guess thats to be expected,i weighed in at 17stone 4 yesterday and bearing in mind 2 years ago i was a 5 times a week gym bunny (weighing approx 12 stone but toned!!) i really have let things go :mad: so here i am,i have a lot to lose and i want to exercise at the same time to help combat the saggy skin i know i will be left with (i do work out at this weight as it has huge benefits to my mental wellbeing) but im unsure as to how safe it is on such a low calorie intake?? do i need to wait until ketosis kicks in?? Any advice would be greatfully recieved,oh and will i know for sure when ketosis kicks in as it seems to vary a great deal from person to person

Hello ''Prettyladyagain'' I was advised to start with mild exercises from week 3 as on week 1 & 2 you should allow your body to adjust to Lipotrim :)
 
Good advice from PinkNibbles...... its exhausting enough so let yourself adjust to the lower calorie intake before you start exercising! Good luck on your journey!
 
I heard that it is not a good idea to exercise as such on LT, but not a problem to do 'toning and stretching'. Above all be safe!
 
thanks for your responses :) well i will take it easy and start with yoga and build up from there,i cant not do anything,it will drive me mad!! What about the keytosis?? anyone know whats the earliest your body can go into it?? and how will i know for sure??

I don't do much by way of exercise, I go for short walks, I feel that we are only on 400 calories a day, although I don't feel tired I don't want to burn myself out. :D

I'm like you - I like to do a bit of exercise!! And was doing something nearly everyday 2 years ago and was a nice size 10-12 :-(

I'm on week one! and I started yesterday with 15 mins on a cross trainer - on a very very low level!! and 10 mins on a treadmill - just walking - and then lots of stomach crunches.

I go for walks with the dog too - but I've always done that!! Shes a bit like a personal trainer - makes me walk for miles!!

So I would say listen to your body! if you feel really tired, then just rest, but if you have a bit of energy, then light exercise until week 3 onwards, and then you can up it after that. I noticed that my gym has started a spinning class on a lunch hour - but I dont think I'd attempt that for a good month or so!!

I really am doing very light exercise - but it makes me feel better!! and keeps me positive!

I don't have much energy these days, I rather concentrate on losing weight, once on refeeding I will start light exercises and build up:D
 
thankyou everyone thats really helpful,i guess i will listen to my body...exercise has always been really important to me,not just the weightloss aspect i get so much more from it,i will jus take it easy for the next couple of weeks and then jus see how i feel and what i can do.

You usually go into Ketosis in 4 - 5 days. Thats when the fun begins when you start burning fat.
You can also buy Ketostix strips from the pharmacy to track your levels.

 
Thankyou :) the reason i ask is i know nothing about it,but day one i felt cold,tired and downright miserable but day 2 totally ok,ive not been hungry and have not been cold at all so i was jus wondering if it was possible for it to happen earlier?? (my mouth tastes gross!!) is it impossible to go into ketosis after just one day??

Some of the signs of Ketosis I noticed on day 4 was definetely a burst of ENERGY..my hunger pains died away..with Nasty breath lol..& i definetaly tended to feel more cold..with headaches! I still get the headaches till this day!

I dont think its possible to go into Ketosis in 1 day..but then again you never no! everyones body is different..

The only way to find out is buying those Ketostix from the Pharmacy..you test ur urine on the stick..if it go towards pink that is good..that means your burning fat..

If it stays beige..its normal..If it goes dark purlple it means you need to drink more! Hope this info helps..x

Yes we sound very alike!! I buy the ketosis sticks to test my "wee" !! but I cut them in half so they last longer!!! I'm forever weeing on them and I get soo excited when they change colour and I'm burning fat!!! my boyfriend wonders why I come out of the bathroom smiling and skipping!!! hehe!!! He must think I've got another man in there!!

Yesterday I felt a little tired, so held off on the gym and just did a nice walk around the shops!! thats exercise!! and then last night I did my dog walk. I tend to have more energy in the night for some reason, but I've always been like that, better of an evening in the gym, than the morning!

Well im starting to worry that i may be doing something wrong,day one was awful(ish) day 2 was fine and day 3 i feel great!!! im confused!!! im sure im doing everything im supposed to,havnt cheated once,im actually enjoying having no choices any more and feeling empty,when i feel empty i like it...no massive headaches,little colder than usual but nothing like day one when i was frozen...i even LIKE all the shakes and even the soup!! Im sure i will probably wake up on day four or five feeling AWFUL now ive said all this!!! No exercise yet as im scared its too early and it will be the thing that pushes me into feeling awful and i feel like im on a roll at the moment!! Perhaps i will do some yoga later jus to keep me into it..i cant believe how much im weeing,its really quite silly!! So when you are in Ketosis then do you not jus stay in it (if u stick to diet) do you keep having to check?? I think i will get some sticks today then,can you get them from any pharmacy?? sorry to bombard with questions :)

I love the feeling of not having to think what I can and can't have! Its such an easy diet really!! I like the empty feeling too - I dont feel all bloated and full - its great! ;-)

I love the shakes!! I've got a major sweet tooth and love milkshakes - so happy days!!

Yes once you're in ketosis you're stuck in it - but I just like to see the purple sticks!! hehe!!! I think if you dont drink enough water, it will effect you though!! you need to keep flushing the system through.

Yes just get the sticks from your chemist. They're only a couple of pound.

I wee for britain too - I had to stop mid-way home from work on Tuesday for a wee at the services!! lol

Yes only do the exercise when you're ready!! Just do a couple of sit ups - I pretend thats a full workout!! hehe!!!

I'm keeping busy ebaying!! I must have bid on 20 things this morning!! nothing over £10.00!! lol all size 14!!! woohoo!! then once they fit me, its size 12 baby!!!!!

Well i honestly think i mustve had the whole ketosis thing happen early as its day 4 and i still feel like i did since day 2...great!! im cleaning my teeth about 30 times a day though,food is not bothering me,all of my friends are amazed at how easy im finding it (so far) :) Next challenge is to get throught this w.e without missing my wine too much...will try not to think about it,theres no option anymore :)

Missgreedy i did some yoga last night and it was great!! i slept really well cus id done something and enjoyed feeling like id used some muscles..will do some more tonight :)
And what a great idea about ebay and clothes...i will have to look into that,altho saying that i have a wardrobe FULL of clothes in every size as it is,maybe i will spend some time sorting it into the right sizes so i dont miss out on wearing any :)

Thankyou dreamer87 :) i have to say before i started i never thought i would be able to stick at it,but ive watched the dvd a couple of times and logged onto here,got support from friends and drank 4 litres of water a day and worked out when the best time is for me to have the meal replacements and (apart from a stinking cold today and feeling quite awful with it) i am proud of myself and excited for first weigh in day tomorrow...are you about to start lipotrim??
 
Yes I plan to start a week on Monday as we are camping in Wales next weekend so will need the calories of lots of walking!
