Hi there,
Im a male of 5'11" and need to know if on sole source the 4 products i can have include a bar or not(during my first 2 weeks).Im getting conflicting info from my counsellor and others who have done the cd.

No, you cannot have the bars in the first two weeks - this is to make sure that ketosis is well-established before adding them as they have a slightly higher carb content.

Hi, Being a guy you have 4 sachets a day for the 1st 2 weeks...then in the 3rd week you can start the bars. It is then only 1 bar a day. Hope this clears it up abit for you.

Good luck and welcome to Mini's.

Hi Jefferson

How much do you trust your Counsellor?

If you were my client, I would have asked you to do a week's Preparation before beginning Sole Source, during which time you would have gradually reduced your carbohydrate intake, and increased your water intake. We would have discussed the pros and cons of the bars, and made a decision based on that. Of course, that discussion takes more time than some people have, apparently.

The current recommendation to introduce bars only once ketosis is firmly established is quite new, and not essential as long as proper Preparation has taken place, because then ketosis should be achieved very quickly...

...but most people are too impatient to do Preparation - or are prepared to jump in with both feet and hope for the best! In which case, it's a good idea to forego the bars for a week or two.

But I read on another thread that you're not too bothered about the bars....so that's the answer for you. For others, it can be a different answer.
