Hello i'm a Newbie posted a few things!! Via phone first time actaully on a proper computer!!! Thinking of doing one myself but before i bore everyone a quick question to those that do one! Does it help with people putting there imput!? and do people really read them?!! Thanks people xx
 
Hi Rach, Welcome to the forum.
Well done on getting your diary going, that is the best thing to do so that we know how to contact you.
If you mean putting in all your input of what you are eating each day, at least when you get a "sticky"moment people doing the same diet can give you some advice.
As for the other bit, well it wouldn't be such a popular forum if nobody bothered to read other peoples posts, would it?
You will get out of it what you are willing to put in, which goes for the majority of things in life.... :)

Hi Rach :) Welcome to the site I dont do a diary however i have read and posted on them and have found them very useful
With a diary u can be honest and look back at it any time
Give it a go and if u dont like it stop doing it Good luck x

Thank you yes that is a good point you make!! I do find that having surport is a big part of weight loss which is why i like the sw groups.

if people find i go on a bit much they either wont read it any more or i'm sure i'll be told!!

Its good some times to get stuff out makes you feel better!!

Well here i go then!! I like to talk so a diary will be no different i can't spell so thank goodness for spell checker as some times things i write will make the meaning of a sentence completely different! Thanks for reading and if anything i write helps you then that’s great! This will be a long one so i can tell you where I’m at promise they wont always be this long!!
Well I'm 31 (was going to be a target by the time i was 30) I'm married 7 years today actually (oh was going to be at target by the time i was married too) I've got 2 young children a son who’s 5 and started school in January (if you hadn’t guessed wanted to be a target by the time he went to school too!! Didn’t want to be a fat mum at the gate oppps!!!!) My Little girls 3 she starts school September 2012 (maybe that can by my target date!!)

Well I’ve always been big since i was young and was bullied at school because of it!! Something i don't want my children to go through! I used to eat things got fat got bullied so ate more got fatter!! You get the idea its a vicious circle!

First went to WW when i was 17 at college was 13 stone then!! Went with my mate(God i thought i was fat!! Wish i was that fat now!!) Lost 2 stone got down to 11 stone! By then people were telling me maybe i was starting to lose too much. So you spend all your life being told your fat now i was being told to stop!! I didn’t quite get it!

Then i met my now husband within a couple of years I’d put on 5 stone we'd moved in together when i was 21 got made redundant a couple of months after we moved in! And i was miserable again! With everything Went to Slimming world weighing 16.9 it was red and green back then! I loved just eating pasta but other half was a man he had to have meat and potatoes had to do 2 dinners! Lost nearly 3 stone went down to Cornwall on holiday put on 9lbs and lost the plot!

Just before i got married 2004 re-joined ww "your getting married you ought to lose weight!" really i tried can't lose weight with pressure and why should i! My dress fitted me was again about 16 stone something but i was happy!

Went on honeymoon all inclusive hadn’t weighed before i went so don't know how much i weighed but! When i came back i went with my aunty to Rosemary Connelly loved it because of the exercise was weighing 17 stone by now the most I’d ever been i was mortified! But i lost a couple of stone then fell pregnant unfortunately then had a miscarriage was devastated I’m an emotional eater so left it with the dieting for now! Then fell pregnant again had a beautiful baby boy. Midwife did say there was no reason i couldn’t lose weight whilst pregnant ha ha don’t make me laugh! I can’t lose weight when not pregnant so how she thinks this i don’t know! So i had baby after 8 week check i was now weighing 20.3lbs aggghhh so back to RC i go! Lose 4 stone doing really well then not long after my sons 1st birthday i find out I’m pregnant again!! Opps! Well that was a nice surprise! (that’s another story I’ll bore you with another time!) Tried not too put on to much still went and weighed at RC whilst pregnant but it just wasn’t happening! So just stopped! After having my beautiful little surprise i went to WW again not put the full lot back on but was 19.12.5 my leader was a lovely lady and i lost 50lbs with her then it all went wrong she left couldn’t get motivated with the next one, then got a blood clot in my leg, that leader left went up and down for a while new leader came loved her to bits lost another stone got down to 15.7 ish then it just went wrong we moved. Bit far to go to my old class! Moved in with parents for a while, changed meeting couldn’t be motivated with new leader again, found another class i could go to with my old leader started losing again! But i had a problem as by now id put more back on than I’d lost! aggghh!! This was stressing me out! Then in November my granddad got ill we found out he had a cancerous brain tumour and in the end of January we lost him after a very tough 3 months! Emotional eating found its way back in to my life as much as i tried i just couldn’t help it! Stayed with WW then my leader left I don’t' think some people understand what’s its like when you get a connection with a leader they know what you've been through how well you've done then you have to get that relationship all over again!! I just couldn’t do it!

So I’d thought about SW before but I’d be told about this new extra easy i just didn’t get it!! You could eat Red & Green!! But how can that work!! But I had nothing to lose so I know go with 2 of my best mates (one of which who I went to ww with all thoughs years ago when I was 17) and i love it! The class is brilliant its like therapy which i think you need if you were giving up smoking, drink or drugs you’d have help. But no your just fat you should just give up food and don't eat so much......! Yes you try. You have to eat to stay alive so it’s hard! If it was that easy none of us would be in this situation!

Well if you've got this far than thank you for staying with me! I did warn you I like to talk! well so i joined weighing 18.3.5 I didn’t want to talk about what i had done so starting a gain was the best thing for me and since I’ve been going I’ve lost 14lbs in 5 WI’s got slimmer of the week once and also i was may's slimmer of the month (although in the back of my head when i get to 16.12.5 i know I’ve lost 3 stone again!!)

I've got a little target for myself another stone to go and then i get to go to the David a Goliath shop for a t-shirt!!

I love Extra easy seams so obvious doesn’t it...!

Well weigh in Tuesday I’ve set a little target of 1lb this week but we did go out for an anniversary meal last night tried to watch what i had but if i gain i know why! I'm not worried we had a lovely meal i can get back on to it. So excited to go every week to see what I’ve done!

Well i think that’s enough for now! I'm off too bed good night xx

 
Food today EE.... Breakfast fat free Natural yoghurt, banana, strawberries, blueberries, grapes 28g oatibix flakes HEX B mixed in

Lunch jacket potato king prawns salad natural yoghurt as a dressing 18g off lo lo cheese HEX A mullerlight

Just cooking tea (quick tea as off to work in pub at 6) batchalrs rice with salad.
The only thing that worries me is the toilet issue!! Will I be able to go tomorrow!! Always comes to a Tuesday and I can't manage to go before WI fingers crossed as I would like to lose 1lb this week!! Watch this space ...........
 
Best of luck with weigh in tomorrow, I always have toilet issues on a Tuesday too (also my weigh day!).. I think it's psychological. lol

It sounds like your head is in the right place now and you've done brilliantly so far. 14lbs in 5 weeks is really great.

Today's food sounds good, except prawns.. I hate prawns.

I'll check in tomorrow and see how you got on at weigh in.

well done on yuor losses so far- was also big in school and bullyinhg etc led to more over eating for me i'm trying to see ee as a way for life I've had a couple of gains but unlike with ww which I did well on lost 2 1/2 stone but didn't change any habits just put it back on again. It's the handy thing about posting because you can type what you want, let off steam, get inspiration etc xx

Thank you! I think your right it is about changing habits which I have done now too! And with Ww I didn't! Either yes I felt so much better last night after typing all that! If we can all get ideas off each other and see how it can be done as were real people and not just on the tv or in the paper. Good luck with your journey too here's to EE xx
 
So tuesday morning comes same as usual can't go toilet!! Hopefully poached egg and beans I've had for breakfast (with mushrooms) and scan bran for lunch will help it along!!! I think next Monday night for tea going to go with mushy pea curry!! Will check in later after weigh in!

I would have Liked to have lost 1lb but you can't go out and expect to lose a lot!! But it's still 14lbs in 6 weigh in's!!! For tea I'm having mushypea curry and sin free wedges!! After class yum yum!
Not going to be long and I think joining the gym is the way forward! can't just get there with losing weight must start exercising too! The one I would go to has a swimming pool too so might start with that!
The lady that owns to cafe near where I work was in the biggest loser 2009! She's been a big motivation for me and told me that no excuses with joining the gym! So I have said to myself I won't go in to see her again until I've joined one!! X

I keep meaning to try mushypea curry. I think I will this week as I'm going to go on a Super Speed food kick and get rid of this last 2lbs.

That is a brilliant way to think. I think that i'm going to see what i lose monthly obvioulsy i'll weigh in weekley but see how much i lose overall in June!!
Mushy Pea curry is yummy should defernatly help with our problem!! lol

So Wednesday comes as normal no problems with the toilet today!!!! So annoying ah well mushypea curry is obviously what I need to do next Monday!!! So today I've had natural yogurt strawberries, grapes, blueberries, and banana! I then went a met a friend at a garden centre I had a pot of tea with milk HEX A and was naughty and had a rock cake with sultanas and light marge! Got half way through and decided actually I didn't want to eat it all so stopped eating it just for the sake of eating it! Another habit broken!! I havent had any lunch I know that's not the way to go but I wasn't actually hungry!!! Not really sure what to do for tea either!!! Have some quarn mince but not sure if I fancy it!
Well last night after WI oh asked me to stop off at mcd's to get him burger! When i got there thought mmmm yummy (although it's not why does it smell so nice!!!) anyway I thought who would know if I had a double cheese burger on the way home!! No one I've done it before this was a big problem of mine! Binging in secret! Any way I decided against it I would have known and I didn't want it! I did have a milkshake which I enjoyed and a bite of oh double cheeseburger (which wasn't that nice!!) another habit broken :) x
 
I've decided to have a scales amnesty!! Will try any way I haven't actual scales just wii fit and have been known to weigh at mums!! The only thing is I worry i like to keep my eye on it incase I gave a little gain there might be time to do something about it!!! Feel really nervous about not knowing what will happen next Tuesday :/!!
today I had :

B) 2 x nimble HEX, 3 turkey rashers an of baked beans

L) salad with ham 2 syns Mayo
Toffee mullerlight with a chopped banana

T) roast chicken no skin!! New pots veg pickle syns

Quark with a teaspoon of lemon curd (syns)

Snack) strawberry's, grapes, blueberry snack pot!

HEXA) Milk for tea

Went shopping today so have a nice full fruit bowl!!!!

Tired tonight early night needed xx
 
Well I've been AWOL for a few weeks!!! We were on holiday last week and I got weighed whilst I was there and lost 3lbs well I had been very good had 1 little treat of an kelly's ice cream. The first night I avoided eating in burger king with everyone else went back to the caravan and made mushy pea curry with jacket potato "halo polished!!" lol. Then after weigh in for the rest of the week I had a few treats not lots every day but 1 a day well you have to have a cream tea and Cornish pasty in Cornwall don't you!!!! So I went to Weigh in last night a put in 2lbs I'm fine with that as if I hadn't of weighed in holiday I would have list 1lb so was quite pleased! On the same holiday last year I gained 9lbs so anything less than that was a bonus!!! So fingers crossed for a 2lb loss next week! Breakfast this morning

3 Eggs (omelette)
Half can beans
Tiny tomatoes

20g cheese HEX A more to come xx
 
Forgot to mention that I'm off to join the gym later to swim to begin with :) x
