Hello

Joined SW 3 months ago; lost 10lbs fairly quickly and stuck fluctuating between putting on and losing 1-2lbs. i'm feeling demotivated but need to to lose at least 10lbs by 1st august as I'm going on honeymoon.

Need some inspiration....

I seem to be struggling too. I joined a month ago and have lost 4lbs with 1 week at STS as I went away.

I need to make some sw friendly foods to snack on so I dont eat rubbish!! I have got rid of all the 'bad' choc bars so I can't eat rubbish when im bored.

Remember why you joined? Each time you think about reaching for the 'naughty' foods remind youself why your trying to change your habbits.

Have a look at other people food diarys and in the recepie section for new ideas. Im going to have a go at making syn free bbq sauce today so I can make sw kfc and have a bbq dip to go with it! lol

Im know im no expert. Im still new to sw but as im struggling too, I have started a diary on here and I keep reminding myself why I want to loose the weight. Im also drinking a hell of alot more water too which is helping me when I feel hungry but I know I dont need to eat.

Another one struggling here too. I put on 2.5 pounds this week - my first week after reaching target. I spoke to the consultant about putting the weight on and she just said "if you've been good then it will show up at the scales next week". She begrudingly took my food diary but I've heard nothing from her since weigh in on Wednesday night. Why is it when you get to target the support goes?? Really feel like Slimming World has stopped working for me and not sure where to go??

At least you want to get back on the wagon I think having that voice inside saying you aren't happy and want to carry on in the plan is great.
i've had a couple a weeks with gains so i'm no expert but last week i got myself into a better place went for a planned food shop i got loads of fruit and washed it and put it in the living room so when i want to snack which seems to be most of the time i'm prepared. I think i qualify for some lazy award I buy my lettuce pre-washed with shredded raw beets and buy my veg frozen by birds eye but it does contain about 4 different types of veg stocked up on loads of free. Am trying to do the same this week but changing habits for me hasn't been simple i only feel like 3 months in i'm starting to get my head around it plus i've joined some exercise challenges on here. I've got another 50 plus pounds to lose i just feel at the mo it's now or never but i have to fight the urge to give in not because of the plan but i'm still battling with a part of my brain that wants the old Patch.

You don't say what your starting weight is SmellyBelly (love the name!) but if you're close to target then it will take longer to come off than if you have a lot to lose.

All I can say to you is not to give up. If you give up then you'll be back where you started or even heavier in no time at all, then it will seem even harder to lose it.

It doesn't matter if you have the odd off day as long as your regular diet is a healthy one.
Try to identify the reason you use food for anything other than hunger, work through those issues, it will help. Use the forum for ideas, recipes and inspiration. The support here is fabulous and will get you through the tougher times. Just remember, if you fall off the wagon, don't feel guilty, just get back on track asap.
