Vitamin Supplements

Does anyone know if I can take vitamin supplements whilst on LL? I know the packs are meant to contain all the vitamins that I need but I'm sure I'm deficient in vitamins B and C as I'm showing all the classic signs of these deficiencies.
Especially narking me today is the fact that I have now 'split' the corners of my mouth and its so sore (this being alongside the already very sore and split lips, bleeding sore gums and horrendous bruises)
Help!

Allegedly not, but my old naturopath would do her nut if she knew I had only been having 100% RDA of B for so long (there's a school of thought that says that as RDAs are a minimum to prevent serious illness, not the actual amount that individuals require one should take extra of certain vits) Most vit c supplements are usually between 10 to 30 times the RDA!

The problem with additional supplements is that some of them contain oils and other bits and pieces and taking then at your own behest is self medicating to a degree so I didn't take them until I started dropping foodpacks in week 1 of management (75% RDA + a handful of leaves and protein does not add up to 100%). Anyway - that's my take on it and I didn't take any extra supplements (with one exception) - for 200 days...so...ask for advice from your counsellor.

The exception was I mentioned to my counsellor that I used L-Lysine to fend off coldsores and that since not having it I had the most horrendous coldsores during the first 100 days and she said that as I had stuck rigidly to the plan for so long she couldn;t see the harm so I took it for a couple of weeks until the situation improved

Well, I must admit that is one aspect I've secretely rebelled against.

I used to eat piles of fruit and vegetables and I think that might have contributed to my enviable health even when I was super morbidly obese.

I just didn't feel 100% RDA would make up for that.

Naughty naughty, ok, yet I've lost nearly 8 st in almost 6 months so I don't think it has impacted my weight loss.

My GP knows and she hasn't objected to it, although she said that I might want to stick to a multivitamin product, as they have lower doses than single ones, whilst covering a broader spectrum.

I think talking to your doctor might be an option, should you feel you might have a deficiency.
