Any fans of the superb Springwatch?

Once again showcasing the BBc at its best with superb set-pieces to camera, presenters and production.

Ok, I admit I am very biased as I spend most of my spare time looking for birds and wildlife - very much like Springwatch all year round, but the presenters are very accomplished.

Even Kate is coming into her own, Packham is good value too. Despite being a little annoying at times - they have a great on-screen chemistry.

Gone are Bill Oddie, who works much better solo and not within the confines of a team, and the excellent Simon King - both of whom I have met in my pursuits.

For fans of nature who cannot always get out, are housebound, or just not very good at finding nature, it is a great show.

One of the few things I watch on television and of course have it on series-link so as not to miss any.

Yep a fan here, there's been some amazing footage so already this week, far too many good ones to mention.

Just me any you then eh? ;)

Guess the others are watching the soaps and other such "quality broadcasting" :p

I'm having a Springwatch marathon on Saturday morning:D

Nope! Me too - just watching Unsprung - love it xxx

I watch it too. Always have, and autumn watch too. Did prefer it with bill oddy on it though!

Bill is primarily a soloist, I have many of his books and he is at his best with a cameraman and/or producer. He doesn't suffer fools, and is a very shy man who avoids crowds where possible.

He is without doubt a brilliant birder and very good naturalist.

I'm sure he'll be back soon - meanwhile if you can check out his back catalogue or previous TV work Birding with Bill Oddie etc.

I dont watch it but a friend of mine was a producer on the show - apparently Bill Oddie is a bit of a nightmare to work with - Chris Packham and Kate Humble are much more down to earth

I did try watching it as it was my friend's show, but to be quite honest I found it rather dull! (The best bit was spotting Chris Packham incorporating occasional Smiths song titles into his dialogue which was apparently some sort of challenge)

I wouldn't say W E Oddie is a nightmare to work with. Remember, Bill is only human, and has a few "problems" If being a perfectionist makes him a nightmare, then so be it lol.

How can you find Springwatch and our wonderful nature dull is beyond me though;)
