After my second week maintaining I've decided to start putting everything into a food diary and try and see where I'm going wrong! Been on SW 5 weeks so far and lost 10lb but I now want to be losing at least a couple of lb a week again! I only ever do green days as don't like to eat meat, so here goes...

Sunday 30th May-
Breakfast-scrambled egg with 1 laughing cow light (1/5 hea) -banana -tea with drop of skim milk

Snack -Alpen light bar (1/2 heb1) -low calorie jelly (1/2syn)

Lunch -super noodles w/ chicken stock cube, no powder sachet (free) -2xryvita (1/2 heb2) and 2xlaughing cow light (2/5 hea)

4pm-free chips w/ 1syn ketchup
-onken fat free w/ frozen blueberries Been hungry all week so now just gonna let it be and eat free food rather than snack on syns or not eat at all.

Dinner -2xquorn meatballs in tomato sauce (free) spaghetti and courgette. 26g lo cheese (hea2) so will now have to syn the bit of milk I had this morning.

0.5 syn-jelly
1 syn-tomato sauce
1 syn- skim milk

Total 2.5 syns
 
So you had an alpen light and a ryvita as 1hexb and laughing cows as hexa you could use your other cheese (26g you could have had 28g full fat or 42g reduced fat) as a hexb and not have to syn the milk as it could be your second hexa.

Unless I've read that aaaaall wrong!

Other than that sounds good - chin up chuck :)

Yeah I dont know why I didn't do that to be honest..one less syn for yesterday then! New week starts today weighed again and still the same :(
How did the exam go? My phones playing up more than usual!! xx

Total syns 3

The mousse is what happens when I let myself get too hungry and feel like it'll be a year til food's done!
 
Also had 10g low cheese with the chilli and now eating rice with 15ml skim milk and 2 syns of sugar. V confusing day for healthy extras so will work it out later!

I use any but always throw the little powder sachet away and put a stock cube in as I thought that was the syns..really hope I'm not wrong or I've been doing too few syns! xx

Yeah the mousse was worth 3 syns considering I went to the pics and ate an alpen light surrounded by popcorn and nachos! So it was probably a 1st if you think it was 'okay'..I miss you too maybe quiz tomorrow? You can see me for the first minutes of my bday :) xx

The sachets don't make a difference, it is the fat content in the noodles itself that is the syn value. 3.5syns for 100g of cooked noodle.

It is only the low fat version in which the noodle itself is free.

Oh god I live on noodles so probably been way over my syns every day. At least I know now and can make sure it's only low fat ones I use..lesson learned, thanks! xx
 
Weds 1st June

Breakfast
-scrambled egg w/ 1 laughing cow light (hea)
-spaghetti hoops

Lunch
-jacket potato with beans, 1 laughing cow light and measured 20g of low cheese but didnt even nearly use it all, will count 20 as not sure of exact number.

Snacks
-pineapple
-muller light
-fibre plus bar
-strwberries

Dinner
-quorn chicken in creme fraiche with garlic, pasta, sweetcorn peas and broccoli.


syns so far- 0 but plan on probably using all 15 on wine later tonight!

I would say you're not eating anywhere near enough, especially of fruit and veg. Most days you only seem to have one or two portions? The most I noticed was 3. Thats not even your five a day, never mind enough to pad out your food and fill you up, no wonder you're hungry! It just seems a lot of carbohydrate and cheese and not much else? What stuff do you like eating? Do you cook much/do you have time to?

For my first few weeks I couldn't eat enough veg and noticed last week I wasn't having enough, I'm really fussy about fruit which makes it difficult to snack on but i always fill whatever I make at night with veg so say spag bol will have broccoli peppers mushrooms green beans etc. I am gonna try to eat more, will just have to stick some veg next to my lunch and stuff and eat the fruit I do like if I'm hungry! Thank's for commenting :)
 
I was just going to pop in and say hello and say it's a really good idea to keep a diary ... but I've just read up from the bottom and realise you've got Beth watching your back ;) So as you are a Greenie I will leave you in her very capable hands :D Ask her for her chilli recipe ... she would live off the stuff if she could, I'm sure!

So yesterday had 5 syns from 2 vodka diet cokes..quite reserved for the pub!

Thursday 2nd June aka birthday

Breakfast
-scrambled egg and a tonne of fruit, melon, strawberries, pineapple, grapes and 2 slices wm toast (heb)

And from there in I'm taking a day off as there's no way I'm not eating my own birthday cake!! Will be back on plan tomorrow though!

I did get one out of you weds so I'll let you off :) not sure max will be happy about the cake situ last night but there's still some here for him..another day, need it all out of my sight asap!! xx

- chilli twists pasta (5 syns)

Snacks

-banana
-frozen muller light
-more family came up in the day and there was another birthday cake..will power gone! So had a small piece will say 10 syns to be safe!

Total syns - 15

Also have no idea of syns yesterday but I ate normal sw food and fruit just had cake and 1 beer too..gonna say 30 as really want a loss this week so being careful!
