Hi all,

Been trying to lose weight various ways this year and have managed to shift 12lbs and get into the healthy zone of my BMI but i'm still struggling with my eating patterns and feel very heavy, so am re visiting ww discover which has been successful for me before!!

For the last few weeks i've been doing calorie counting but i found i was spending calories on the wrong stuff or being completely blase about it and all i managed to do was lose the 2lb i put on over my b'day weekend in april - 8 weeks ago!

I still have all the info from the last time i went to meetings and i know the plan well, plus i've heard a lot of mixed reviews about pp and while i'm sure it works and is logical i don't want to mess around with something i'm not 100% with.

Will hopefully check in here everyday to keep me in line and to more than likely have a little moan about life in general! Will be weighing in first thing tomorrow and that will be my fresh start (ooh i'm getting a sense of deja vu)

Really hope this can be my last blast to being comfortable and happy with my size and to maintain for the long term!

Hi Melissa Jayne

Welcome back to WW. You will have great support here whether on Discovery(old)or the new Propoints system . I am on PP so far and so far so good. Its a graeat idea to do a daily diary here ...keeps us all on track . You will get great ideas too :D

thanks hun!

Am quite excited and nervous for wi tomorrow!! have been stuck at 11st 2lb for what seems like forever (in reality 3 weeks ;)) so am hoping my official start weight isn't too much higher than that tho have relaxed a little this weekend. Am going for a 100% first week because a change on the scales will really keep me motivated for the rest of my journey.

Will also start a food diary in the morning which i hope will keep me on track and get me used to tracking points again instead of calories!

let's do this :D

Best of luck for tomorrow . great to see you have your goals all set up. Disneyland Paris wow !! now that is a nice carrot to dangle in front of you. let us know how you get on tomorrow ok

morning all!!

weighed in at 11st 3lb this morning which i'm more than happy with because it's most likely water weight, and not fat, so i'm sure it will come back off soon and take a few others with it!!

Got a well needed day off today after a busy bank holiday weekend at work (i work in a pub!) which is great for the fresh start as there are no distractions, temptations or obstacles to throw me off. on the other hand i do plan on doing absolutely nothing so activity points won't be up to much ;)

Am also planning on cutting right down on alcohol because it is always the thorn in my side when it comes to weight loss. When i lost the bulk of my 12lbs it was during january when i gave up drinking. So i have two social events in the next 6 weeks when i will drink in moderation and the rest of the time it's diet coke for me :)

You see, because i work in a pub i work all weekend and so when everyone else gets to chill out and have fun it's just another school night for me, and that really puts a dampener on things. So from now on i will only be indulging on occasions that i've booked time off for and are actual occasions as opposed to drinking because everyone else is! It's big part of my friends life styles and we very rarely meet up unless it's in the pub, and everyone makes a big deal out of me not drinking almost like i've offended them! But my true friends will understand and anyone else can just get over it ;)

Unfortunately one of these 'occasions' is this saturday so i will be extra good this week to counteract any extras i have on the day. Besides i've been looking forward to it for a long time and I have a new (size 12!!) dress hanging in my wardrobe for this exact reason. It's ladies day at worcester races and i've never been before and it's 8 weeks since my last saturday off, and i'm going to enjoy it :p

sorry for the ramble but been trying to break this habit for a while, and it's something i really want to do xx

well happy june everybody!!! i love the beginning of a new month makes me feel all optimistic :)

got work 1-7 today and it usually really quiet on a wednesday so i'm gonna save my lunch til i'm there because i'm a terrible boredom eater! the minute i feel even the hint of hunger i dive head first into the first available thing - mostly high fat crisps and huge cheese rolls!

think i did ok yesterday but am waiting for my mum to bring back all my ww books (that i lent her over a year ago!!) so i'm kind of winging it at the moment. Am using an online claculator but i think it's from an american site and might not be 100% accurate so if anyone knows of a better one feel free to point me in the right direction :D

Have also hidden the scales (out of sight out of mind right??) and they won't be coming out until next tuesday..............i hope!

hope everyone is well x

Had a grumpy day today at work - what normally happens when i'm not being kept busy but a success because i only ate my planned snacks and am under on my allowance by 5 points!! if i do get hungry before bed i've got some ww bread and extra light philedelphia on stand-by, but i don't like to eat too late at night so only if it's an absolute emergency.

Feeling super motivated right now and am hoping it sticks around-at least for the first week ;)

well what a lovely sunny day it's been!

actually got out in it for once and went shopping with the girls which meant lunch out but did plenty of walking and didn't over indulge! Ordered a fish finger sandwich and when it came it was actually 2 mini cod fillets......battered! eek! So as damage limitation i discarded the seeded bun and just ate them with the salad so fingers crossed ;) I did have a few chips too but shared a portion with a friend and only ate about 6 so i'll take that as a result!!

And i'll give myself a pat on the back :D

off to work in a few minutes will be there til 1130ish so no sofa snaking for me tonight -just got to be careful because we have a crib team at home tonight (i know- the glamour!!!) and they normally have food cooked for them. Definately need my will power, but as i haven't had time to add up my points yet i may have enough left over so we shall see.
xx

It has to be hard working in a pub looking at all the snacks and smelling all that food cooking . Make sure you take something small with you like a ptk of walkers baked (multipack bag ) 2pp in case you are having a cuppa and are craving for something . Whats the boy scout motto "Be Prepared" . Works for weightwatchers too !!!!!!!!
