2 hours till weigh in and I'm thinking of packing it all in

Ok guys. I need some pretty sharpish advice...

I've lost a pound at the most this week.... I've started doing some intense workouts which include weight training (pretty heavy weights for a girl) and have upped my protein but still on 3 packs a day and still in ketosis.

I'm 8 lbs off goal and am starting to think that CD an ketosis can't help me anymore and I need to push past this by shocking my body with intense exercise.

Do I buy another weeks supply of CD products, or do I head to tesco and get some foods to fuel my workouts ad go it alone?

ive heard your losses slow right down when your near your goal weight, i think if it was me i'd have a word with the cdc this morning and see what she thinks..

I think the weights could be giving you muscle mass, so even though your losing weight stil, the weight of the muscle could be balancing it out, if you know what i mean..

Can you ring the cdc before your weigh in and explain the situation with her? i think that would be your best bet before packing it all in now after you've got this far..

good luck with what ever you choose, sorry if ive not been much help!

if you are doing that much exercise and are that close to goal you shouldn't be on ss or ss+ you need to be on 810 or even 1000.
and yes building muscle will not help you lose weight because what you lose in weight will show in muscle.
can i ask hun why are you weight training its a unusual thing for a woman to do?

Thanks, I'm not going to eat between now and my weigh in so I'll still go and see what she says.

It's funny because when I started this wasn't even about weight, it was about how I look and feel.... I'd rather build muscle, weigh more but burn calories at a faster rate with the extra muscle and be firmer, than see a saggy 9.7 on the scales...

I don't want to feel like I'm giving up, or failed prematurely, but at the same time if CD isn't helping then I'm not spending another £55 on it.

I expect my CDC to tell me to stick with it simply because She wants me' to continue to buy the product.

I dunno, I might stay on and just have extra protein to repair my muscles... Sigh. Life is so complicated! :-(

I have been weight training for over a year... Contrary to popular belief, endless cardio isn't the way to lose body fat, a combination of cardio and weights does a far more effective job.

Plus, the more lean muscle you have the more effective your body is at burning calories....

i know you need to do some weights to tone but to much is gonna look big. the other thing you need to think about is if you are happy with how you look does it matter what the numbers sawy on the scales esp if that extra might just be muscle

It is physically impossible for a woman to get 'big' unless she is on steroids.... Which I am not.

I am happy with everything except my belly, that's the Bain of my life.... If that went I would happily weigh 20 stone, I don't care what the scales say and I think that's why I'm thinking twice about CD as I know it's so focused on a number on a scale.

Thanks for all your thoughts ladies, it really does help me make sense of it all in my head!

Just txt a mate who was on CD, she said that she came off a week ago and regrets it cos she ha gained. Maybe I should press on for one more week.

thats the thing if you want to come off cd you need to do it the right way which is climb back up the plans or you might gain even if you just have a week on each.

I would go to see your CDC and move up to 1000 plan asap fruit, veggies are on this plan.!
Good luck x

I'd expect to gain a few lbs, but if I come off then I'm not concerned with the scales anyway. It'll be about my physical shape which I hope won't change much.

Life is too complicated for me' right now. :-(

Gonna go get ready for weigh in.... Will keep all you lovely people posted...

I had three weeks at 10st 6 when I was close to my goal and then I lost 7lbs in one week. I was getting smaller, but the scales just weren't budging.

Good luck Hun - no matter what the scales say - you are in the right direction .... Just remember where you started from - you are doing soo well - what ever you decide to do it is a positive move ....

Thanks ladies, I've had a good old chat with my CDC who is actually far more understanding than anticipated.

No actual weight loss, but inch loss was enough to keep me motivated.

After a lengthy conversation about it I've decided to move onto step 3 and that way I can do all the exercise I like and hopefully see a loss next week.

Thank you all for your support. I've just had some shredded wheat and feel great, going to hit the gym shortly and then come back and plan my weeks worth of food. I find if I plan these things I'm more likely to stay on track!

Hey quick&painful glad you have had a good chat to CDC and I think moving up the steps is going to be the best option fir you :)
You are doing really well and you are soooo close to your target and you will get there am always here for a chat xxx

Aww thanks.

I almost feel bad that my first introduction of carbs has resulted in quite a shameful carb fest! Well, I'll get it out of my system and get straight onto step 3 tomorrow. Gonna hit the gym and just run today.... Better digest first!

I've got 2 weeks! I need to do this!
