how do you use soya flour

Can you add Soya flour straight to liquid or does it go lumpy-like normal flour? Or should you add the liquid to it, like corn flour.
or should you mix with fat from meat prior to adding stock for gravy.
Have just bought a bag and want to use it for thickening things like gravy, and white-sauces.

I haven't used it in ten years when I tried one of the recipes in the Atkins book - to great failure-so as far as I can remember, you treat as you would ordinary flour but truly I don't know for certain. Sorry. :(
 
I will just try and experiment
