Sausage loaf

Hi all, was just wondering has anyone tried the sausage loaf from the seriously satisfying book?? I made it last night and found it very ' soggy ' is the only word to decribe it , and i left it in oven for longer than the recommended time but still could'nt help thinking it looked raw... has anyone else thought this or have i made a mistake making it??
