Well, here goes...!

My name is Rachel. I'm 26 years old and live with my fiance and gorgeous daughter who's 3.

I am a whopping 4 stones heavier than when I met my OH and would really like to lose at least three and a half of them. I've decided that the excuse of 'having had a baby' is wearing a little thin now!

I have been challenged with my weight since I can remember and did successfully lose 5 stones with WW some 8 years ago but I found that my life became consumed with counting points. I found that I would skip meals just so I could have my chocolate fix and never really learned how to eat 'normally'. I have tried WW since having my little girl but I abandoned it when I was in the kitchen getting something for my OH and she automatically got the weighing scales out. It's not a life I want her to know exists and if that's all she sees me doing then how will she know any different?

I know quite a few people who have successfully lost weight with SW and more importantly, kept it off, so I thought I would give it a go. I know it's going to be a challenge as I openly admit that I am not a very good cook and it doesn't really interest me but I'm going to have to learn if I want to get back to being 'me' again. I need to learn how to eat properly and prepare nutritious (if that's how it's spelt!) meals for my family.

Sorry for waffling on but I have read quite a few stories on here and hope that spilling my heart out, good or bad, week in week out will help me to stay on track!

Thanks for reading (if you've made it this far).

Good luck with it, this is the best place for support in the good times and the bad. xx

Wishing you success with Slimming World, and I just want to say kudos to you for realising your little girl's life shouldn't be led by an obsession with 'diet'! :)
