Protein bars...

... good or bad idea?

I'm totally on board with the WW idea of healthy eating and good food etc, and i'm not a fan of meal replacement methods (each to their own, it's just not for me), but i work funny hours and pick my boys up from nursery after lunch, and inevitably end up snacking all afternoon on biscuits because i never get time for a proper lunch.

Someone gave me the idea of having a protein bar at lunchtime along with some fruit, all stuff i can eat on the run and in the car, as they're supposed to be filling, and they're quite low in pp's (the one i checked online was 5pp's a bar).

Has anyone tried them? Do they taste gross? Am i going to turn into a muscle mary? :D

My boyfriend eats them some were like flapjack style and tastes rank and then he got these crispy chocolate ones which have a bit more crunch and he says there nice, chocolate flavour ones. He only eats them though as he is on a v high protein diet and he is trying to gain weight...opposite of me ha

They are nice. Tesco ones very good. Protien bars will fill you up and crispy bars do nothing at all. Yeah I'd say get some.
I have them all the time.

I find those cereal bars just make me hungry! I thought protein bars might be a bit more substantial and the high protein content more filling.

At my husbands work (car sales, testosterone central!) all they eat is protein bars and shakes, they must be SO constipated!! hehe!
