Yeah I've got an interview, some questions about the tests.

big bear

A bear on a mission!
I've been applying for lots of part-time admin jobs & I've got an interview on the 3rd June...woo hoo...it's for administrator for Young Peoples Services (those with drugs/alcohol misuse)

I've got to do a Word & Excel test, can anyone let me know where I can get practice tests from?

Does anyone have any that they can send me.

I'm fine with Word it's more the Excel as I never really used it much but have very basic knowledge.

I really really need to get a job soon as only H has money coming in & with a baby & toddler we're struggling.

Thanks

BBxx

MOS Excel - free study guides and practice questions

this has pdf documents and some practice questions etc on it.

However for actual tests that I found were helpful (although ive only done one as I am admittadly lazy) is Hosted Test - Sample Tests, Test Samples, Testing Examples

Good Luck with the interview :) x

Thanks for this. I think the actual test will be things like open a new worksheet, edit the cell, the sum of etc etc

I need to do some practising as I'm actual quite rubbish at Excel lol

quick question off topic- I realise you put about drinking more water? my friend said drinking a certain amount can aid slimming? is this true and if so how much should i be drinking? x

It does help a lot, I drink no add sugar squash as I hate water. I'm really bad at drinking water etc some days I'd only have 2 cups of tea. I try now to drink about 1l at least but I've fallen of that wagon too recently. I need to get back to that again. The week I upped my water I lost 3lbs. Hope that helps.

You could always take a Word Processing Course at your local college, it wouldn't help with this job but for the future? This is what I'm doing :) Taking what seems to be called a Europian Computer Licence.

I'd recommend the ECDL as a good overview / refresher - and best of all lots of colleges are able to offer funding or even for free. Its pretty much all self taught in your own time via the learn direct website. All good stuff!!

I work in admin and had to do word and excel tests. The tests themselves were actually quite simple that I had to do. In word I had to create a letter following a template and in excel I had to put some figures into different cells.

Open excel on your computer and just start playing around. Try creating a table of your weight loss then make a graph. The microsoft help function is always there to help. If you could do that you would have had no trouble with the tests I had to do.
