Hi,

I have just seen on another thread that you can make crisps out of lasagne sheets! How do you do this? I would be extremely grateful if anyone could let me know....and are they free?

Thanks in advance guys!!

Lasagne Pasta Sheets
Schwartz Seasoning - all season
Fry light

Cover a baing tray with foil and spray frylight. Cut the pasta into triangles (bite size), place on baking tray.
Cover pasta with frylight and sprinkle over the seasoning.

Bake at the top of a hot oven until browned.

They are free on a green day. I think I will make some of these myself this evening!!!

Thanks Mrs V!
I take it you are meant to cook the lasagne first????
Are the schwartz seasonings free??

Do you know...I'm not sure about cooking the pasta first - I think you just put them in as they are and it makes almost Dorito type crisps (I haven't made these yet, so I don't really know!)
The Schwartz seasoning is free though, I just checked.

Yes you need to cook the pasta.
It works quite well with pasta shapes too! I usually use the twirly ones.

Hiya here is the number one crisp expert at your service.:D Ok lasagnia crisps you can also break them into crisp size pieces and lay them on a microwavable plate stick them in the microwave and they take about a minute but done take your eyes off them as they go from cooked to burnt in a matter of seconds then when ready sprinkle with fave flavour.

Also if you get wholemeal pitta bread split it to two as if you are going to make a pocket in it but cut all the way so its like you got 2 oval shapes. Cut up into triangles and place on a microwavable plate and cooking instructions same as above. These are a bit like doritos.

You can also use potato. I have a crisp maker for the micro. I bought it at Trago (for the Devon/Cornwall crowd). Peel potatoes. slice thinly (you can try putting a bit of frylight on if you want. That's how I did them last night but can't remember if I usually do) In micro for 3 mins and check. Sometimes need repositioning and bake a bit longer; keep checking.

I have just made em using jamaican jerk schwarz seasoning, it was too spicy on them but other than that I like the actual crisps, I might just have em with salt on next time, as the seasoning just seemed a bit much, but other than that A+++++ Thanks for the tips guys..
