Solo slim??

Hi,
I picked up the may RC mag during the week which has a little booklet in for the solo slim diet. I done som research and it looks pretty perfect for me!!

I find I have no self control with food so have done well on things like Cambridge which that the decision element of eating away from me but I miss food. I am hoping this will be a good medium for me.

Has anyone else tried this or can let me know what the food pouches are like? I am going to order the 28 day box tomorrow as an incentive to complete the month. Plus you get the measuring pots, a book and something else free!!

If anyone has any experience of this it would be great to hear from you :)

Kelly

hi, im thinking of doing it too, not sure weather to do rc or diet chef? diet chef 50 pound more but you get breakfasts too, and more chice? anyone else done rc?

The Solo Slim food is very tasty. When you open the pouches, it can look a bit unappetising - rather like baby food! But all the meals I'e tried so far taste good. The thai green curry, chicken korma and moroccan tagine are very good. You can add veggies and some extra rice to the meals to bring them up to 400 calories, as some of them are quite low.

Thanks starbug. I have put my 28 day order in so hopefully have it Tuesday. I ordered at least 1 of every pouch except 2 of the soups I know I won't like.

Can't wait to get started now - go on holiday at the end if July and although won't be at my target I am hoping to be about 21lbs lighter!!

I agree with starbug, they do look like babyfood, but all the ones I have had have been great. I love the cheese.!

soloslim

hey im doing soloslim its my 3rd weigh in tomorrow i lost 10lb the first 2 weeks and im still going well. it does look like baby food but tastes really good, i would recomend it good luck ladies

Thanks everyone for your replies. My box arrived today but I'm not sure whether to start tomorrow or take a few days to read the book and get my head round it, plus I have birthday cocktails to go to Saturday but I could just stick to diet coke!! Excited to try the meals!!

I logged in to talk about solo slim, and your thread was top of the board...must be fate!

Ordered a 7 day box this morning. I have my exam finals in 2 weeks and it's all getting a bit intense now. I don't really feel like I can be arsed to sit and plan meals when I've got so much nerdy-history stuff filling my head! So, kids have got ready meals and take-aways, I'm going to try the Solo Slim...if the weight loss is good I'll do another week too.

My posting will be increasingly sporadic now, but keep it up girlies, it's really encouraging to see how everyone's getting on! xxx:flirt2:

ooohhh, p.s.

And, p.s.,

there's an offer on RC for a 7 day supply at minute, the code is 7DAYMAY (think it's all in capitals) and gets 10% off the order, which covers the p&p

Also, if you're a member of Quidco (and if you're not you really should be!) - place your RC orders through there, and you'll get 5% cashback - I got confirmation of £1.80 cashback for my 7 day solo slim pack. Better in your pocket than someone elses!!

And if you're just deciding to join Quidco, please consider using my referral code:

Im loving the sound of this hun but I only started on Monday so know nothing about the Solo Slim yet.
Is it worth me waiting a while before ordering these as im on the phase 1 plan at the mo which the leader suggests me to follow. xxx

Hiya,

I think solo slim is just an alternative to cooking for yourself. It will week for all phases, as in phase two all you're doing is adding a pudding/treat.

The reason I've picked a week's pack is for simplicity, as I'm revising and really can't be doing with thinking about shopping and cooking right now. All your lunches, dinners and snacks are included in the pack, and a booklet with the basic, 1200 calorie plan to follow. So it should all be simples...I hope!!

The box has just arrived, so will keep you posted! xx

Hello,

I am also thinking of doing this diet. How do you know what to have for breakfast? Also, what is the daily milk allowance? Most importantly, are you constantly starving??? x x x

I have just finished my first week on the plan. Not once been starving and I lost 4lbs.
Breakfast there are loads of ideas my fave at the mo is half a toasted bagel with 50g % greek yogurt & 1 tsp of jam.

I also like weetabix & the new special k honey clusters.

Milk allowance is 450ml of skimmed or semi skimmed.
The solo slim booklet comes with suggested meal ideas listing them as quick & easy breakfasts, cereal breakfasts & cooked breakfasts xxx

Thank you and well done on your weightloss! Do you get a booklet if you buy the seven day pack? Also, are the meals frozen?
x

Thanks hun :)
Im not sure if the booklet comes with the meals. Im sure you could email them to find out. I got the solo slim book when i joined aswell as phase 1 & phase 2 of the inch loss plan.
I would of thought it would come with one though but if not we are all here to help you.

The meals are not frozen, they are in pouches which can be left at room temp x

I am on day 3 today. Really enjoying the food but I do get hungry in between meals!! How do you keep the hunger at bay? I drink lots of water and only have a machine which gives pre-made tea at work. I am determined to stick to it though and hoping my tummy will shrink hehe.

Well done on your 4lb loss mrswilsoncroft, I hope to get that this week too!!

Have you been having your power snacks in between the meals?
I find they help keep the hunger at bay.
My power snacks are:
150g strawberries
100g pineapple
20g low fat cheese & 5 cherry tomatoes
100g cherries
12 seedless grapes
1 ww yogurt.

All these have helped me inbetween the meals. xxx

I have been having them, maybe I need to vary them a bit more and try some of your suggestions, thanks :) hopefully it's just my body adjusting. Xx
