Body Composition Analysis Machine

This week, a man came to my work's building with a Body Composition Analysis machine. Almost the entire population of the building stood on it to see how over/underweight or fit/unfit they were including myself.

The results I received really put me on a downer. I'd been doing well with my diet and gradually increasing exercise to help myself along. However, this machine told me I was heavier than when I last weighed myself, told me I had the worst fitness level out of my fellow work colleagues (considering I work out more than those who have higher fitness levels and do no exercise) and also told me that my muscle mass was quite developed

I'm not sure whether to trust this "analysis" as gospel or possibly consider that the guy who encouraged us to try it was from a local gym and wanted to recruit more members? I have been doing well so far, but this has really knocked my confidence

I would not worry too much about what this gadget has to say. It is very unlikely that your sedentary workmates are fitter than you if you regularly exercise and in all likelihood it was a gadgety, inaccurate device. Keep up the good work because it sounds as though you are doing fab!

These machines are really unreliable (in my personal experience lol) the crazy trainer lady at my gym kept putting me on one and my body fat kept climbing and my muscle weight/density (whatever!!!) kept shrinking even though I was losing lbs and lbs of fat (which i could see from my shrinking wobbly belly!!) and I KNOW my muscle tone was improving coz I could see it with my own eyes lol!! I had biceps an everything Towards the end!! I was a healthy BMI and only had a bit left to lose!! she kept eyeing me up suspiciously and asking if i'd been sticking to the diet plan!!! Lol I'm never getting on one again!!!!
