Restarter for the last time!

Hello everbody, just wanted to re-introduce myself, I've been faffing around with every diet going for the past 12months & only gaining weight. I decided to give TFR one last chance after a man shouted every horrible fat name under the sun at me when he was road-raging at me, it was frightening but most of all upsetting being called a fat this, that & the other :cry:
Anyway rather than drowing my sorrows in food I decided to stop messing about & get this weight off once & for all. I've done TFR before & was very successful but didn't refeed or learn from it.
Anyhoo that's me, I hope you don't mind me joining you guys:) x
 
Wow. What a horrible thing to happen to you. Well done for not wallowing in self pity .. As I might have.

Aww Pinkie what a horrid man to throw personal insults around like that...

Strange isnt it what finally pushes us to lose weight...Mine was a death in the family.. you might look back on that nasty episode when you have shed the excess weight and have turned his nasty vile comments into something really positive..

What a horrible man to have said those kind of things to you, well done for not turning to food though.

thank you everyone, I think it was a real wake up call for me, I've been lucky enough never to have been called such things before, my OH loves me no matter what but sometimes I think that makes it easy for me to carry on the way I am. This just gave me an insight as to how other people probably see me which hurts but makes me very determined to get this weight off now. Just having my tomato soup now & feeling very positive, thanks again guys x
 
You know something Pinkie... not ONE of my friends had the balls to tell me i was fat. I knew deep down i was far too big for my height... I used to ask them for their honesty and not one of them would tell me the truth... apart from a male friend. I asked him a week ago. He was blatantly honest and said i was getting far too porky and i looked better 2 years ago.

For his honesty I got the kick up the ass i needed.

3 days in and I'm 5lb down so far (not weighed today... don't want to turn into a scale worshipper)

Stick with us! We'll get you through it!

Very true princess, I can never understand my friends, who are all very slim, they moan about their weight all the time yet when I ask their opinion they pussy foot around me saying I'm fine but I'm clearly a good 6st heavier then them! I appreciate they dont want to offend me but sometimes you need to be cruel to be kind:eek:

I got an insult the other week when two people on the pavement were idly chatting and I asked to get past. One muttered "if you weren't so fat I wouldn't have to move". Morons.
 
"And if you weren't so stupid/ignorant/[insulting adjective of your choice], I wouldn't have had to ask!"

Of course that's no use to you now, and you're probably like me in that you think of these responses later, or would never actually dare use them because you were actually brought up to have manners, unlike that eejit.
