Hello...I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations on very SW friendly things to stock up on in Asda?

I'm from a wee island and will be making it to the mainland in a week and a bit. I'm wanting to stock up on lots of bits and pieces to help aid my SW journey. So far I've come up with Alpen Light bars and Fry Light (neither of which I can get over here), any other tips?

Thanks for any help xx

Mugshots or cup a pasta - basically like a cup a soup but pasta which are a filling snack, always have then in my bag when i go away, just top with boiling water, stir, leave for 5 mins. Mugshots that are 1% fat or less are free and so cup a pasta are pretty much same equivalent wise! Good luck, happy shopping!!x

Laughing cow extra lights - usually have a long date so OK to stock up!!
ainsley harriot lentil dahl - about 90p a box, free on Green and EE and very yummy!
When I went last week they had asda own baked beans 99p for four standard tins and heinz chopped toms £1 for four tins - I'm sure you can get these anyway but its a good price!!
Asda frozen fish fillets (plain) are a good price and so versatile
Chicken bovril for making SW KFC!!
Quorn

I'm sure there are tonnes of things but my mind is blank - I'll come back if I think of more!

Thank you sooo much. I'm doing EE all the time at the moment so all this sounds good. I just figure that I may as well get the bits and pieces that will make my meals and snacks easier
I think I will try and pick up a cool bag or something to take things back home in, mind you with our weather at the moment I don't think I'll need a cool bag.

Ooh, thank you for that. Any nice flavours or is it along the same lines as pasta in sauce?

I personally like the tomato and herb pasta and sweet and sour noodles, but I'm veggie so not sure on meat flavoured ones! Theyre so handy for me for travelling where I can't get sw food, just need boiling water!!!x

Don't forget the Chickpea Dahl! It's with the tinned meals and is syn free.

Just thought of another one - their meat-free mince is syn free and much cheaper than quorn. 2 bags for £3 I think.

Their wholemeal pittas can also be a hexb.

Here are a few from my book of free branded foods:

chargrilled style chicken slices -chilled
chinese chicken breast fillets- chilled
chickpea dahl mild-canned
extra special chicken stock -ambient
fresh taste chicken in tomato basil marinade-chilled
fresh taste gammon steaks w/pineapple -chilled
good for you beef steak mince
good for you natural cottage cheese & the one with red pepper
good for you chow mein chicken couscous break-dried
mexican style bean mix-canned
lots of wholemeal pittas- there a HEb and make great pizzas
I love the knorr stock pots really good for soups
