I have set myself a goal that within a year I will lose the 10 stone that I have to lose to get to a healthy weight and maintain the loss afterwards.

I would like on average to lose 5lbs a week which means that it would be 28 weeks for 10stone but I understand that been on a VLCD for that long would cause my body maybe some harm. And in that time I do go away on holiday twice.

If i stook this this and as it states in the guide had weeks where I had the shakes and a 400-600kcal meal through those weeks and the whole weightloss cycle I can do it?

What do you lovely people advise?

I just hope that I can do this, I would like to know what the most weight someone has lost on Exante or a VLCD though?
 
Average is around a stone a month but men always lose weight faster than women. AAM - Adding a meal week - increases the rate of weight loss. Without it the body may go to shut down or starvation hibernation, and weight loss can plateau or slow down. By adding a low carb meal it boosts the metabolism, then when you resume TS the weight drops more significantly.
A lot depends on how much you have to lose, those on their final stone often find it slows down a bit. But I think you can do it and have your planned holidays. Stick to low carb and no alcohol and you will come back lighter - I did!

Thank you very much for this, my planned holidays are Ibiza for a week and a stag due in Berlin, I have it in my head that I won't be eating crap but the alocohol side will be very difficult, so may stick to vodka n tonic etc
 
No alcohol in Ibiza will be very difficult but you do right to choose vodka or gin just be careful as it will hit you quicker
I'm using my hol in Ibiza as my goal date to lose my final 10lb.
You did fantastic on week 1.

I most definitely think you can do it .... you seem really focused and already planning what you can eat (and drink) on your holidays. Stay motivated and we are all here supporting you all the way xx

Hi there Alcohol can be very dangerous on VLCD. There are stickies on this on the forum, even if you opt for vodka and tonic it can be very dangerous. No supplies of glycogen in your liver, you may feel very sick or worse you can lose consciousness.
If you come off Exante completely, eat more and drink - fine that's up to you but post holidays you have to go through the three - five days 'waiting for ketosis' agony. That's what puts me off coming off TS.
It's your choice but you may want to see if you can enjoy yourself without booze and still lose weight.
Most of all it's your life, your choice and you make all the decisions.
Ask yourself. What do I really want? How much do I want it and go for it.

Thank you all, and GSQ yeah I agree with you but when I'm at Ibiza Rocks with all my good mates and on water gonna be more hassle, I had another post on here the 77day target and I was going to week before do shakes and meals and then the week of Ibiza healthy food and drinks. But I know of the risks.
