Wine please

Am I working this out right, a bottle of wine is only 18PP?

So if I had:

Breakfast - WW bread + 1 rasher bacon = 2pp
lunch - ww chicken noodle soup + ww crisps = 3pp
dinner - ww beef casserole - 6pp

snacks - apple, banana, sugar free jelly

that leaves me 18 pp to drink a whole bottle of wine and that's without dipping in to my weekly allowance! Sounds almost too good to be true.

Not that I'd plan to eat like that every day but it's great to have the flexibility:cool:
 
It's great isn't it!! I often make some homemade veg soup at the weekend for zero pp so I can have some wine without using too many points.
 
Excellent news - I'm pretty new to this, trying it out before deciding whether to go to a class or not. I did weight watchers years ago and found it difficult particularly with the weighing of stuff, pro points seems so much easier and particularly as most fruit is free! Lovely, it was a real treat to find that vodka only has 2 points a shot! enjoying it so far.

Just b careful fruit isnt 'free' its 0pp for the first 5 after 5 a day u need to count it. Thats what my leader says. That includes mixing it with veg. So u could have 2 pieces of fruit for breaky,a piece with lunch then a good portion of veg to bulk up your tea. Remember fruit still has calories in,a banana has approx 100cals in,so u couldnt eat 5bananas a day and lose weight i dont think. Im 6weeks into ww and have been having half a melon for my breakfast every morning but iv only lost 5.5pound. I was having about 7portions of f&v a day so im cutting back this week to 5 and ill see how i do that way.
Good luck and the low pointed day so save points for wine is a great idea :):)

It looks good but please be careful. If you drink a bottle of wine after having such little food it's going to go straight to your head :)

But like you said, as long as you're not doing it on a regular basis it's not going to hurt doing it once or twice. You're probably going to have a headache the next day though LOL.
 
oh this has made my day...lol was wondering how many points in a bottle. i will be able to save some dailies tomorrow and use the remainder of my weeklies for a bevvie tomorrow night...
