Okay before I start this I should point out that it is only in the last few weeks that I have ever tried cooking, up until now everything has come out of packets and most of it was ready made meals so whilst this recipe seems really nice to me others might not like it as much but am sure it can be tweeked to suit your own tastes.

I used a 180 gram tub of fat free greek yoghurt, I then mixed in 3 dessert spoons of Schwartz Korma Curry Spices which cost about £1.80 for a tub that will do about 4 meals I think. I then blended the spices into the yoghurt and added a small amount of water, a little at a time until I got it to a consistency that I liked.

I got my diced chicken breast, fried it in the pan and then added the yoghurt/spice mix to it. The mix went a darker shade once it was in the pan and dried up slightly so I added a bit more water as I went along. I left it soak for about 10 mins whilst I cooked the rice.

The spice mix is 25 kcal but I think it could be syn free as I think spices are but I have put it down as 1 1/2 syns to be safe but would love to know for sure so if someone can tell me if it has a syn value that would be great.

So as far as I can tell those are the only syns in the whole meal.

This was made to feed 2 people. If you want more then just use more yoghurt/water/spice. On the packet they suggest leaving your chicken to soak in it overnight in the fridge but I didn't do this. You can also add lemon to add a bit of flavour.

Hope this is helpful to someone especially anyone like me who is new to cooking. I hope you enjoy it.

Will give this a go - thank you - lurve korma :)

Love the sound of this and will give it a go tonight. Thanks.

Hi, I now replace the plain yoghurt with two pots of the Muller Greek Style Vanilla and coconut flavour yoghurt which are 1/2 syn each. Makes it much creamier and coconutty. I add it at the end, reduce the heat first then add otherwise it separates.

Had to re register as lost my log in details. Hope you enjoy this.

i made this with pataks korma paste as couldnt find schwartz korma powder, its 3 syns for 2 tbsps and i just added vlf from frais to it and as im on a red day i had it with cauliflower rice (chopped down using my potato ricer) lovely!
