this is my 1st week day 4....iv got 230lb to lose to reach my goal, has anyone lost around the same? or has the same to lose? how long do you think it will take? im hopeing i can do it by end of november if i try really hard

Hello.

I had 111lb to lose when I started. They say losses are on average 1 stone a month, though this will be quicker initially. I started in January, and have been 100% except for 2weeks (due to health I had to do SW) and I have a planned 5day break at the end of the month. In hoping to be at goal by the end of September.

I think your target of November might be a bit optimistic. Sorry - but I think its important to be realistic, otherwise you might get disheartened later on. To lose 230lb in 6months you'll have to lose 38lb (getting on for three stone) every month. CD is a great diet, and works much faster than anything else - but it can't work super speedy miracles! (it does do speedy miracles though!)

I think an aggressive target would be about 12 months. As your losses will be fast to start with, but will slow down as you get closer to target.

Good luck on your journey!

Big H speaks the truth - that thread is not only awe inspiring but a similar loss.

Also from experience in my LL group, one of my best ladies lost 200lbs in about 9 months (She was v tall). I lost 110lbs in 6.5 months - I'd say by the time I finished she'd lost 140lbs in the same 6.5 months.

And don't forget, you will look and feel better the whole time you are losing weight!

It's about the enjoying the journey, not just getting to the destination. :)

I was going to suggest the same. Read awaken me's story it is so inspirational and gives you an idea of time scales. I have a lot to lose also and 9 weeks in I am at 4 stone 2lbs loss. Thats an average of 1 stone 6lbs a month (excluding my first weeks loss). I have done 100% sole source til week 8 and now started introducing sole source plus days. It is a great weight plan and offers great losses but as said before don't set yourself unrealistic goals as you will only feel a failure when you don't reach them. Good luck :D Jayne x

This is so true!!!

You have to still live your life and enjoy life whilst you are on this journey. You need to think that every week you are losing weight rather than every week gaining weight, so it's a double whammy. There is great satisfaction in knowing that you are doing everything that you possibly can (i.e CD)
