Can someone help me out.

On a shake only Exante diet having three a day and I am struggling. I am 14stone and 6ft tall male looking to lose 2 stone before the football season starts so figured this would do it.

I have read that I could eat Bacon, Tuna, Salmon and remain in Katosis, is this true. Not at that stage yet but when I do get there I don't wanna spoil this early hard work.

Any suggestion welcome

Regards Lee

Hey and welcome to minis and the exante board :D

I know that cooked chicken and ham are ok to eat and you'll still be in ketosis but I'm not sure about bacon or tuna. I'm sure someone will come along soon with the answer!

Good luck with your weight loss x

High protein foods such as tuna and bacon will leave you in ketosis.

Are you meaning how you will eat once you are at goal or when you are reintroducing foods?

im on the lipotrim diets and when i really have to eat like out with friends i only eat foods that are really high in protien i manly stick with a grilled chicken breat or if you cook chicken the dry parts of it or fish! just remember dont eat too much if you eat small amounts threw the day i think you should be fine :)
hope this helped

High protein foods like fish, chicken, ham etc are all okay if you are going to introduce food as they will keep you in ketosis :)

If you are managing fine with the 3 shakes then thats great otherwise try to stick to one small grilled chicken breast chopped up to munch throughout the day or the equivalent :) or add in one small meal such as grilled fish or chicken with a cup of salad. Im not at the stage of re-introducing foods but i have just started to have days when i allow myself something like chicken because i have got exams and need to particularly concentrate.

Do you just have shakes or do you have bars and soups too? I find that having the choice of shakes, bars and soup keeps things more interesting on my TS days.

That's great advise all of you. At this stage I am just shakes only and loads of water.

What I was trying to say is if I eat eg chicken or ham can I get to Katoses, of course tiny amounts and only if I had to eat.

Sorry for my poor lack of knowledge never dieted before.

Yes, Its the carbs in food that stops you getting into ketosis ;)

If you really had to eat small bits of chicken like you suggested, would be fine.

Good luck with your weight loss journey x
