Looster's CD ramblings

First day today on CD! I'm doing Sole Source Plus - 3 CD products + 200 cal meal.

I've not tried a VLCD before but NEED to do something. I did try Weight to Go before which is about 850 cal and liked that but no support really so lost motivation after 6 weeks. So here we go! I've got a lot to lose if I were to get into healthy BMI territory - see the ticker... Tbh, at the moment, I'm just thinking of 10% (even that is nearly two stone :sigh: and fairly overwhelming).

Doing okay so far. Nearly threw up trying to eat maple pecan porridge so gave up on that this morning (will swap the rest I have with CDC later in the week!). Never been a fan of porridge so don't know why I thought this would be any different :). Butterscotch shake far more palatable, tomato soup better than I thought it would be and so hungry that actually felt sadly grateful when I just had my toffee walnut shake...I've managed about 2.5 pints of the water so far and feel a bit like I am swooshing around when I move. Already had to take a tablet for a headache pill - suspect that is to do with caffeine withdrawal due to cold turkey withdrawal from diet coke!! - and also had really bad indigestion. Thought best not to glug Gaviscon as I did when I was pregnant so had 1 Rennie tablet. It has sucrose though, but was so desperate. Anyone come across anything you can take for heartburn on CD?

It's 5.10 and I'm reading lots of inspiration stories on here to keep me going until my 200 cal meal. Prawns, wee bit of cottage cheese and 2 tablespoons (is it worth it!?) of veg. Trying to decide between leeks, spinach and asparagus - been pondering on this for at least 45 mins...all for 2 tablespoons.

Feeling a bit apprehensive about work on Monday. Have loads of work to do and worried will feel a bit pants by then. Ah well, it will be worth it! DH has promised me a new pair of shoes for the first stone. He made a mistake - didn't specify budget ;)

Love to hear from anyone else who is starting now or started with this much weight to lose!

Cappucino shake - yum!! Closest thing I will get to a frappucino for the next few months...

Day 2 is so far better than day one, have kept self busy by gardening. About to go to a tea party in aid of charity - you make a donation in aid of, wait for it, finger sandwiches, scones, cakes (aaargh!). Also serving tea and coffee. At least I can have a cup of coffee...Keeping eyes on the prize ahead but slightly nervous of days 3-5
