Do you all exercise? I walk my puppy couple of hrs per day and have a gym membership that I have evry intention of using but dont!!

Can you save units for a special occassion, or do you just relax a bit that day?

The only exercise I do is walking the kids to school, so I haven't done that for a while...lol:D I used to do fifteen mins on my exercise bike before summer arrived but now I get too hot and sweaty to want to do it. I'll wait till autumn

As far as your units go you can arrange them any way you want. The book gives you some examples like...

Mon-friday have 6 units per day and then in Sat & Sun have 20 per day.

Or if you have a special occasion have 5 units everyday for six days and then have 40 for the special day

As long as your having 70 units a week you'll lose weight. :)

cool loving the 70 per week think my wi day is friday so i know if i have a heavy weekend I can pull bask lol not that im a wino or anthing xx

Ahhh cool thats answered my unit question!!

I horse ride a couple of times a week but need to start walking again. I have a dog who is very particular about the weather and doesnt like going out in wind, rain, cold etc - He's such a wuss but i think i'm going to be firm and start dragging him out whatever the weather!!

My doggy is a bit depressed at mo off his food and sleeping about 20 hours a day i feel really guilty, he gad a slight limp not constantly but on and off on Monday so took him to vet and he said it was nothing serious and to rest it, cant wait to get back out with him x

Hey guys .... I hope you don't mind a CDer being rather nosey (again!) but I have some Unit qu's.

Do the number of units you have per day depend on how much you weigh, how much you have to lose etc?

Is it like WW in terms of less units the closer to goal you get?

Is it all the carby foods that are low(er) in units than proteins? Just thinking if I was to switch I'd need to keep the carbs low and slowly introduce so as not to pile on a whole load of water!

Thanks
xx

If you have less than a stone to lose it's recommended you have 6 units per day. Otherwise you can have 10. The units dont get less but they do recommend cutting back on free food to give a better weight loss IF you want to.

It is a low fat diet so yes all the carby foods are low in units as they contain less fat. It would be very easy to reintroduce carbs after CD though i would have thought. I expect you will get full very quickly so eating tiny bits of carbs first will be easy - well easyish!! :)
No matter what programme you do after CD you'll still regain your glycogen though - even if it's over a period of time but it should only be a few pounds. x

Thanks chick .... that's great! Might do 1 stone on CD SS, then the next half on 790 + 1000 and then switch as I should be moving up to 1200+
x
