Pizza hut

Hi everyone. After only 3 days of starting Ww May have to go to pizza hit on Saturday. Can anyone recommend good choices PP wise? Thanks very much :)

Basically the best advice I can give (and you're going to hate me) is to avoid the pizza!!

The pizza values are mad (1 slice of medium thin crust margarita is 6pp....and who's going to have one??) but some of the pasta isn't quite as lethal.

The arrabiata pasta is 12pp, the lasagne is 16pp and the alfredo pasta is 14pp. And IMHO you're going to feel fuller after those things than 2 slices of medium pizza. :)

Over on the takeaway thread I put a long list of points per slice for popular pizzas if you've got your heart set on pizza though.

If you want to be VERY good, you could always opt for the salad bar. But I don't think even I would do that. :D

But isn't this where the 49 points everyone has as extra a week , comes in ?? Im knew , dont know much ... lol

Absolutely. If you want to spend a big chunk of your weeklies on it that's absolutely fine. :) You can absolutely use them however you want.

She said 'good choices' though which I took to mean 'what doesn't have a lot of points' :) Sorry if I confused OP.

Thanks sneeze! That's really helpful - thought the pizzas would be horrendous but I wasn't sure if the pasta would be too! Think I'll stick with the pasta :).

I know it would be better to avoid but if it's too wet to go to a theme park we had planned the back up is cinema & pizza hut - for my son's 7th birthday so I can't say no!

I did think about using weeklies but would rather not for this. Thanks again ;)

You're very welcome chick. :)

The cookie dough dessert is the worst offender...wait for it....29pp!!!! Thats a days food. Madness lol. x

so what sort of things do u have to use these points on then ??

You don't have to use them on any one thing - thats the beauty of it. If she'd come along and not mentioned wanting good choices, I'd have just told her the PP for Pizza Hut stuff. ;)

You can use your weeklies on whatever you want - one single meal, a nights out drinking, spread them out over the week or not use them at all. Its entirely up to you.

Personally (and this is absolutely just me), I tend not to eat them all in one go. Mainly because I'm only on 30pp a day (started off at 38pp) and am really noticing there are days I can't eat what my boyfriend wants unless I use some weeklies. So I spread them out over the week. But please don't think this is what you SHOULD do. Even I don't do it every single week. 2 weeks ago it was my mums birthday and my cousins in one week - cue 3 homemade cupcakes. Weeklies.....GONE. ;)

good god 20pp for one of those wee things...:(:(

Ha ha - I know! It is bad. I ate it veeeeerrry slowly. Once upon a time my husband and I woulh have shared a large pizza with lots of toppings, perhaps a starter of nachos and a garlic bread on the side. But I guess that is one of the reasons I am on WW! Lol :p

Its mad eh? And really reinforces what I keep saying to friends etc about how, even if I had 20 points to spare, I'd struggle to eat it knowing how bad it was!! :p

I can really really identify with this. When I was at Uni we lived off pizza and chips. I was working doing security where I sat on my ass too so no movement to shake off all those pizzas. Thats where I really gained all my weight - dont ever remember using the kitchen in that flat.

Yep - guilty as charged!! :D I'm consoling myself with the fact that its a round trip of 52 miles for me to get to Pizza Hut so I don't have that "just passing the door" temptation. Thank God I don't still live in Nottingham. I could spit from my house to MacDs, KFC, Pizza Hut and the local chip shop, kebab house (mmmmnnn kebabs!!), chinese and indian restaurants!!
