Newbie, please help

Hello all

I'm new to this site and haven't a clue what to do or where to go.

I am due to start taking Xenical tomorrow and am really worried about the side effects and what I should be eating to stop them

I have a serious amount of weight to lose and feel totally overawed at the massive(!) task ahead of me.

As well as the weight issue I am a type 2 diabetic using Lantus insulin and metformin and I also have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and use a CPAP machine

I very much doubt whether there is anyone else in my situation but I would really love to hear from anyone out there struggling with their weight.

Hiya and welcome to Minis

I was on Xenical for 3 years, and so far have lost 10st 2lbs ( stopped the tabs in March). I noticed you've found the Xenical forum, have a look over the stickies ( at the top of that forum), they explain really well what guidelines you should follow while taking the tabs, you'll also get loads of support from the other Xenical peeps too.

What's Xenical? Some sort of a diet pill?

Xenical is a prescription only anti obesity drug, its medical name is Orlistat. Orlistat is also sold over the counter as Alli ( it can be sold over the counter as its half the strength of the prescription only Xenical)
