Hi there,

I seem to have made my way around these boards and finally settled on ww!! My question is does it really not make a difference what you spend your points on?? I'm eating 3 meals and still have enough left for 3 curly wurlys and a bag of low cal crisps!! I don't feel like I'm on a diet so how does that work, I'm sticking to my points but surely I'm not going to lose weight eating that!!

Just to clarify, I'm not using weekly or activity points and I'm having decent meals with fruit and veg.

Any comments welcome lol

If you're having 3 meals and still have enough for 3 curly wurlys and a bag of low fat crisps, you're obviously having uberhealthy meals the rest of the day. In which case your body won't shirk from the sugar in the chocolate or the (small amount of) fat in the crisps.

It only becomes a worry if you're deliberately eating less throughout the day in order to have points for treats on a regular basis. That's not really in the ethos of the diet. But if you're having rounded meals the rest of the time it sounds like you're doing fine. :)

Hi catty-1976 and welcome your diary looks good to me i'm no expert but it looks like something i'd have but not all the curly wurlys (too many fillings) maybe have a ww frozen dessert or some sliced bread with your meal or if you have time a more filling breakfast.
ww products are great point wise healthy and low.x good luck :)

That looks pretty good to me honey! I agree with choc that I'd be tempted to just have the one Curly Wurly and bulk out my brekkie a bit more, but thats just me and I'm not saying you shouldn't have em. :)

Only thing is you've not listed your drinks. Do the drinks you have through the day definitely have no points? I ask only because for a while I was forgetting to point the milk in my coffee in the morning, then realised if I have 2 coffees it's an entire portion of semi skimmed and thus, 2pp!! Eeek! ;)

Hi sneeze :)

I knew I was a point missing somewhere lol and yes it's milk, skimmed milk 1/4 pint for 1 point. I have a cup of coffee in the morning then drink water or sugar free juice the rest of the day. Sometimes for breaky I have a ww bar too it depends on how im feeling, I managed with just one curly wurly yesterday lol but feel a bible coming on!! Thankfully have activity points and weekly too cover it lol :). Thanks again for your reply xx

Hi Cat... Yes it does matter... At the beginning and probably even into the first month or two you may still lose whilst having the treats daily, it depends on how much weight you have to lose.. Although with WW you have the freedom to "eat what you want" its main aim is for your allowance to be used on healthy eating.. and healthy snacks.. treats are meant to be just that.. Treats! And they wouldn't be 'treats' if you have them daily..

When I started on the new ProPoints earlier this year, in order for me to use up my complete daily I was adding crisps with my lunch or having a biscuit with a cup of tea just to use up my allowance.. i was losing.. But not great amounts and was getting really frustrated.. I was using my daily allowance and making sure I used them all every day as that's the leader said to do.. i wasn't using my weekly unless i was out at the weekends which wasn't much and I wasn't using activity points.. i was going to the gym at least times a week and only losing from half to 1.5lbs.. So I brought my tracker in to my leader.. She said while I was sticking to my allowance, using it up with "goodies" was where I was going wrong.. They were undoing the good of the fruit n veg etc...
So the short answer is... Yes.. It matters :D

Your breakfast being 1pp is not good.. Although you might be feeling full at the time.. its not substantial enough to keep your body going all day.. you need to add carbs n protein here.. Cereal, or porridge, poached/scrambled egg.... You need something more.. And add a small snack in between each meal also...
Sorry.. I kno I'm sounding like a "know it all" but its only coz your 'tracker' is pretty much like mine was when I started out... Good luck x
