Hello there everyone

Where should I start!! I have tried and failed evry diet in the universe, this has made me realise that Cambridge is the one for me as I can take food out of the equation. By the way I have failed at Cambridge so many times in the past and lighterlife.

I have got to a point were I am just getting bigger and bigger so much so that my hubby is getting sick of me as well! Can't blame him. He is so supportive when I am dieting but I am a waste of space. It is definately affecting my health and life now.

So this is my plan...... I am giving myself till Christmas to tackle this problem. What I am doing at the minute is easing myself into sole source. For instance starting today, I am having a cambridge shake for brekkie (have some left over from last failed attempt), a tuna/cheese salad at lunchtime, a shake this afternoon and then a chicken breast with veg for tea.

I want to try and eliminate the carbs before I go sole source as this is my problem I think, the cravings!!

Does anyone know what I can eat that is low carb till I get back into it, and also does anyone have any words of wisdome for me.

I would especially like anyone who has failed and failed at this then got back on the wagon to let me know how as I am desperate!!!

Thankyou

Hi Headdown,

I am currently coming to the end of LL foundation and about to switch to Cambridge. I just wanted to say you are absolutely not a waste of space, you are brave enough to try something again despite finding it a real challenge. I am only 24 but have failed at many diets and finally at almost 19 stone at just 5ft3 inches something inside me snapped and I pulled the willpower from somewhere. I think what works for me is taking one day at a time - sometimes I get overwhelmed by having to lose 9-10 stone so I just think about each half stone as the next target and an amazing acheivement.

Try to surround yourself with as much support as you can find and be totally honest with your CDC about how you are feeling, you are not alone and you are so capable of doing this - your ticker shows 2lb down already so you are already off to a positive start. Trust that your husband loves you and I'm sure will do everything he can to support your decisions so be honest with him about how you are feeling. You could go and see a CDC and ask about doing a formal 1000 or 790 plan so you could be supported back into ketosis and sole sourcing rather than try and do it alone?

If you do want to stick just by yourself until you are ready to sole source again your best bet might be a low GI diet as this would help you reduce carbs and is good for controlling hunger pangs which are the enemy when not in ketosis!

I wish you all the best and hope that you keep posting as this is such a great community for advice and support - you are not alone! I look forward to seeing your success!

Hi there. I done the foundation phase of LL last year and lost 3 and a half stones, the most I have ever managed to lose. I then spent at least 6 months trying to restart SS including trying LT (Lipotrim) in January.

At the end of July, just a week after a year had passed since ending LL I gave reducing carbs another go. Then last Fri I started replacing 2 meals with a LL pack and now I am having 3 plus a meal.

Will be starting Cambridge next week hopefully but I don't think I could SS again. I made a list of why I want to get this weight off once and for all.

Inspiration and motivation is unique to us all and I know what pushed me into being serious again won't work for you but I just wanted to let you know I understand how difficult getting the motivation etc to restart is and how bad it feels each time you fail but I really think you will make it this time. :)
