Hi everyone

I am new to Slimming World (this is my second week) and have previously been a WW member through and through. However, I tried their new PP plan and it just wasn't working for me (1/2 lb in the first week).

I decided to give SW a go as I had previously done it about 20 years ago and knew it gave me good losses. I went for my second SW weigh in yesterday and was delighted to have lost 6.5lbs in my first week! :D

I am still trying to get my head around what I can eat so I'm really glad I've found this site, so I can get lots of support and hopefully motivate others along the way.

I have a long journey ahead of me but really looking forward to it.

WOW!!! Well done, that's a brilliant loss. You must be so pleased!

:welcome: Welcome to the forum, I've found everyone on here massively supportive - especially through the dark times!

WELL DONE thats is a fantasic loss

Next week you will have your shiney 7lb :)

WELCOME

Well done on your first week

I too was always a ww girl. But love SW now. And I think that having done ww you will have a great idea about portion sizes so should do really well on SW.

Good luck for next weigh in

Welcome to the forum! :)

Welcome!
I am also fairly new to all of this, I'm now into my 3rd week and pleased to report I got my 1/2 stone award last night so YOU CAN DO IT!
I am finding this site is great to dip in and out of to get some great tips and motivation.

Good luck honey xxx

I'm in my first week, first WI tomorrow, but u feel so fat I feel like iv eaten loads and won't lose anything. Hope I can do as well as you all!!

Thanks guys for making me feel so welcome. Sorry its took so long to reply, been working this afternoon then watching the tutorials to try and get the hang of everything on here :)

first weigh in tonight - although to be fair I am a day early - cant make the thurs class this week - anyway I have been reallly good, cooked food completely from scratch, stuck to it all apart fromt his evening when I succumbed and had some chocccie. Couldnt believe it when I had stayed the same - although my clothes are certainly feeling a little better - cheesed off!

are you eating enough syns thinkin your being good and having less syns can have the opisite effect...

I'm an ex weight watchers girl, and i was so dubious about SW cause of how much food you can eat lol but im loosing weight lol

Hi Kaz & gang....

I pretty new too. Been on SW 2 weeks today. 1st week went great and lost 5lb but today i have put a lb on!! Been really good again like last week so was a bit dismayed to see a gain. (Danemi1 I share your pain in not losing!) Apparently it may be water as I am due on tomorrow/ day after or it could be exersize increases?

Anyway, have talked myself back up (a little!) and going to be really good this week too. Fingers crossed the scales are all our friend next week :)) Keep at it xx

I have kept a diary - and only had a couple of syns each day but I did have a couple of evenings where I had the ww choc mint icecream desert with a choc layer on top but I just cant find out the syn value of that but with it being ww wouldnt have thought too many - hopefully she will tell me next week - I have written it on my sheet

Re the ww choc mint ice-cream syns
A rough guide for foods that don't have any free food element is that 20 cals = 1 syn
Eg if it had 100 cals then it would be 5 syns

Well done! I too used to be a ww girl but ended up putting the weight back on again over the past two years as when you stop counting points it all goes wrong!
Heres hoping this new SW venture will give us both the losses we hope for! Well done for your great first week loss.
