Hi guys.
Im off on holiday June 20th for 2 weeks.Im hoping to have lost 2stone by then.Lets say for arguement sake that I do.
Me and my OH are off to Cape Verde and its all inclusive.I know exactly when I come off CD and exactly when I go back on CD.I will come off the day that I fly out and come back on one day after I return.
While I am there I do plan to let my hair down,I will have been 7 weeks SS and this our first holiday together so no way am I missing out.
I will drink and eat.I will not go silly at all re food.I was going to keep carbs to a minimum also.
My fear is that in those 2 weeks I will put on everything that I lost.I know no one can tell exactly how much I will put on (I know it is enevitable that I will put on) but I was wondering if anyone can share their experiences or advise me on how much to expect to put on?

i know its your holiday and you want to enjoy it but if you don't want to put it all back on which i think could be possiable because i have known people gain a stone on normal diets just over a week. my friend who is on cd gain 7lbs over a weekend.
i'm sorry if i sound nasty I don't mean to be but being on cd and after you need to make lifestyle changes or you will never keep it off.
first theres a holiday then theres some ones birthday then xmas is 2 weeks i'm not saying you would come of each time but you get the picture each time is a gain and destorying your hard work.
i'm not suggesting you stick on ss but it might be wise to try and eat protien as much as possiable and watch your portion sizes.
we need to learn to have fun and celebrate without it being about food.

I am the same as you Rachel I go in 4 weeks I plan to come off plan and enjoy my time away and get back on the wagon when I return .

This is probably one to discuss with my cdc.Thing is its been planned for ages and im certainly not going to not let my hair down.I never have days off for birthdays etc and am very much in control. So this isn't an issue(control)xx

I went on a 2 week all incl holiday back in march and was following a VLCD up until 4 weeks before I went. I lost 15 lbs on it but decided to eat a few weeks before going so that my body could adjust. I followed a low carb plan and although I didn't lose any more weight, I didn't actually gain any either.
So off I went on my hols and I suppose you could say I watched what I ate though I must admit I started off better than I ended!! I didn't exactly restrict myself, but I didn't go mad either. When I returned, I had gained 4 lb, which I have to say, I was well chuffed with. This is coming from someone who has gained 10 lbs while on a 2 week holiday before now!!!
Having said that, we are all different, and no one can really predict what someone could gain.
However, I think it proves a point that following a VLCD doesn't mean it piles back on as soon as you start eating again, though some may say that I did pile it back on!!!! But hey, I was on holiday, you've got to let your hair down once in a while!!! Lol
