Feeling "fat" and flaw finding (even after HUGE loss!)

We've all walked past a car, saw our reflection and thought, "oh gosh, I look terrible today"!
I suppose we see the bad in ourselves that others barely notice, but I think it's important to as we lose weight, learn to ADORE and LOVE our new bodies!

As an ex size 18, and a new size 12 I always imagined at a "healthy" clothing size I'd feel fab, but I still feel very "fat" when I see myself in pictures etc!

I'm hoping after losing 6 stone my mind's just not yet adjusted to my new body and soon it will catch up!

Sending some complimentary loving to everybody and if anyone's having a down day, just remember your loss and pat yourself on the back! xxxxxx

What do you do when you're having a "fat" day? :p

I tell myself to not be so bloody stupid and that I look great! I make sure I really look at myself in the mirrir every day, and I mean really look or I don't notice how much I have changed.

I find it helps if I don't look at my face (not because it's horrible ha ha) just so I can imagine that it's not me I'm looking at and this really shocks me at how different I suddenly see myself and how happy I am.

I went from an 18 to a 10 so I know there is definitely a big difference

Hi pigtotwig - am I right that you lost 78lb in 4 months?

You look really well

cool - Ive never heard of that; is it a drug or like a programme?

It's basically 36£ a week from the chemist, 3 shakes a day and no food/other drinks except black coffee, tea and water! you lose about 5 lbs a week, they have a website if you google 'lipotrim' :) x

wow so you don't have any solid food at all?

It must have been hard to stick to that, but I guess no pain no gain

I think it takes time for your mind to catch up with your body, particularly if you have lost the weight over a very short period of time.

Same here, have gone from a 16 2 a 12 (as of this wk) Im chuffed 2 be in 12's but I dnt feel like I look like I thought I wud :( I dnt look like other size 12 people and still got a pokey out belly. Not wot I was imagining at all but Im trying to stay positive I have obviously lost some inches 2 go down 2 dress sizes and I still have a little way to go so Im a work in progress right now and Im def going in the right direction :)

That's exactly my problem!! I fit in a size 12 but I feel like my belly is too 'pokey out'!! haha, I'm happy with my initial shape now and my legs it's just my poxy stomach, so I'm gonna do 25 sit ups a day and see if it helps! xx

Do 250 ;-) that will... Crunches rather than sit ups .. Strips your tummy right down x

Yep my darn belly is my main focus right now and if Im honest still have a bit of a double chinny chin chin :( I dnt seem to have lost too much "boobie" so thats a bonus. I think my stomach is the last thing I loose weight on so its always gonna be a little outta pro-portion
