2 days away from home

Hey guys and gals

A week on Monday I will be in London for 2 days for work and Im trying to figure out what to do about food.

Its a 2 day conference event my company are hosting and I have no control over the food we are eating, except for breakfast in the hotel Tuesday morning :/ I know on the Monday evening we are holding a "social event" at a bowling alley which of course I have to attend, and will undoubtedly be food like pizza's, burgers and chips etc

So, I just need some pointers and advice what to do and what to choose to eat... should I try and keep my syns low for the rest of the week to soak up some of the rubbish I will have to eat or should I just flexi syn the days (even though I have no idea whatI might be eating and drinking!) or just write those 2 days off and start back on plan from Wednesday?

What would you do?

Tough one :sigh:

I would write the days off, however just be extra good at breakfast and try not to over stuff myself with the naughty....note 'try' :D

I would try and eat elsewhere, stocking up on some pre cooked chicken and salad bowls, and fruit, alpen light bars.
Then whilst at the bowling alley just order something small and not eat it...otherwise if you dont eat at all people will be asking and trying to temp you.

I cant eat anywhere else unfortunately, we literally get 20 minute breaks every 3 hours or so... There's usually fruit at the conference centre, so I'll take my Alpen lights/hifi bar and make sure I have lots of fruit so when the tempting stuff comes out I will hopefully not be too tempted.

Nightmare!!!

I had a similar situation recently and just made the best food choices I could from what was available (for example, if you know pizza/burger/chicken is on the menu, you could look up generic eating out syns for those foods ahead of time so you can choose the least). I also tried to keep portions smaller but still a size that wouldn't leave me starving and kept my daily syns to 5 for the remainder of the week. Was really surprised to lose half a pound at my next weigh in as after 4 days away I was expecting to STS or more likely gain. If you're on your feet more for the event I think that helps! :)
