How about a "Doesn't Fit!" thread

Last week I needed to haul on some old jeans to do some work in the garden - and they promptly fell down again.

I had to borrow a pair of braces, and looked like a circus clown!

That's one pair for the rag bag (I'll cut them up first, so there's no temptation to keep them around "just in case")

Not fitting in that sense of the term is lovely!! (Bet your neighbours thought so too!)

My rings are big again... keep turning round when I type.

Also - booked a bra fitting at M&S for tomorrow morning. I could smuggle half-a-dozen endangered species through customs in the space in the ones I have now!

Well good going to both of you!

I put my wedding rings on the other day for the first time in months - I had to sotp wearing them because they were too small, now they're too big - and don't look good with a ring snuggie :D

When I started the diet last year, after I first saw a significant loss I bought new trousers etc. which are all too big now, so I am having to take them in... can't justify getting more and they've had too little wear for the rag-bag!

I have just donated 2 bin liners full of clothes to my next door neighbour. She was eternally grateful for the wardrobe injection, and I have loads more space now. Amazing, going through it all to see how far I've come.

Liking this thread!

Brill brill, well done all of you.

Yes I have loads and loads "don't fit"s. And it's sad - I like my clothes... After being 'the other size' all my adult life I had virtually none to slim into, (any that there might have been were given away years ago...) so was wearing summer trousers with big belts last year, no need to undo buttons to take the trousers off... this time I have invested in some new ones!

My wedding ring is on my middle finger now, I can/could shake it off too. Now safely held in place by a second one in front of it. I will probably get that one resized *one day*

Now I'm not giving my clothes away (yet?). Most of them are favourites, and I *will* try to take some of them in, and some are still quite wearable too. I might offer a few choice items to my MIL who's *put on* a fair bit of weight that she can't shift now due to a recently diagnosed thyroid problem.

But I have been out to buy lots of new basics - linen trousers, shorts and t-shirts etc from cheapie places. I have also treated myself to some nice new summer dresses.

Bras - disaster area :( - not yet been properly measured - I was giving myself time to 'settle'.

Wow - fabulous thread ladies... that's great! I myself will be in HUGE trouble when I firmly move out of my current size - I've been in it for 10 years and have absolutely nothing (other than said jeans in other thread) that didn't fit me... ergo - WHOLE NEW WARDROBE! :)

There could be worst ways to celebrate, I suppose and I'm lucky that my husband is very generous and never begrudges me anything. And the local charity shops will benefit as I have lots of lovely things (and they will be gone as soon as I move down... no temptation there!)

Yes that's what I've been getting for Christmas and birthday - money or vouchers and then I post back a 'thank you' photo... I'm just concerned about maintaining in the longer term hence my reluctance to let go of the old stuff (for now)

I sold lots of my BIG clothes on Ebay, made about £400 (took hours though!) and used the money to buy some new stuff! (The biggest things sold best! Size 16-18 didn't really!)

I had a bra measurement done at M&S... very sad it was too (A cup?!!)

Shame there isn't a "clothes swap" thread or the like... (maybe there is??). If there are loads of people losing weight and if you don't have the money to buy clothing each size you move down - I'm sure it would be nice to be able to visit a "clothes share" section. You could take clothes as long as you paid the postage and also promised to pass it on after you moved out of the size? Anywho... its not something I would need as I suspect I'll only move down to a firm 16, so just one size for me.

Damn, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to need a bra re-fit. The thing is that I've got loads of lovely Elle MacPherson lingerie - all of it gaping. I do wish that my boobs hadn't waved goodbye and left me.

I have loads and loads of clothes which no longer fit me, but I'm loathe to throw them out as I still have the mentality that I might need them again some day.

I just keep telling myself it's easier to wear padded bras than to try to squeeze in spanx, so I'm happy with the exchange!

Aw I like this thread. My boobs have shrunk loads too. Pleased I'm not the only one. i can see my toes when I look down lol. My lovely mam has offered to buy me some new clothes when i lose my weight :) can't wait! X

My baby sister has offered to take me to Rigby and Peller (the royal bra maker) to have a bra made-to-measure - as long as I stay the same weight for 6 months first

Tempting idea - they have a local store here, I've just not been brave enough yet to even enter it! I'd better start saving up for it now though - even an off-the peg one! Although - I got some birthday money I haven't used yet....

I went for a bra fitting yesterday.

After reading an article on the guardian website I avoided M&S like the plague, and ended up in Bravissimo, where the delightful fitter decided I was a 34E (wat! I've never been bigger than a B in M&S) and proved it by producing a bra that fitted like a glove (or like a glove would fit if it actually was a bra, rather than a leather thing with 5 fingers which would look very silly strapped to my chest).

So long M&S - I'm a proud and buxom bravissimo girl now.

This could get expensive - now that I can actually wear some of the clothes in the shop window (and my favourite work trousers are held up with pins).

Ooooooooooooo dear.

i have long been a bravissimo shopper now, and i won't go anywhere else for bras. on my first visit i went from a debehams dd up to a gg! the bras are the same price as you'd get in debenhams but the fitting service is just amazing i think, can't wait to go back in on saturday for (another) refit!

I love to take "the girls" shopping. Actually might be my favorite article of clothing to shop for. Wacoal is my brand of choice here in the US, along with another brand Chantelle. Sometime last fall it became necessity that we move up to DD's and I knew that was just from weight gain. I'm happy with a nice C cup. Gladly will sell the almost new ones on EBAY.
Drooling here at the thought of custom made Bra's..not something we see here in the US.

Today I was running out the door and grabbed a pair of pants off the hanger, I thought they were a different pair. Several hours later it dawned on me that that was the pair I had tried on a month ago that would not close at waist by 2". Today they fit like a glove..just perfect. It is only 8lbs so far...but it shows.
Again Congratulations to everyone....your all Looser's in my book.:D:D
