Total Solution Operation Bridesmaid

Hiya!

I'm beginning my diary on Day 3 rather than Day 1 because I didn't want to be too negative about the diet int he first few days as I find it a bit of a struggle as it is.

I am losing weight because I am being a bridesmaid in October - it's bad enough being nearly 30, single and a bridesmaid but I'll also have to stand next to my size 6/8 little sister and just couldn't face it as a size 18/20 (probs more on the 20 side!!). I have about 5.5 stone to lose until I'm near an ideal weight but I'm working on 4.5 by the time of the wedding!

I did LL about 3 years ago and had huge losses on the weeks that I didn't cheat (on average 5lbs a week!) but I cheated a bit - more towards the end! I've piled the weight on since then - putting on three stone in a year and the rest has crept on over the rest of the time! I didn't do any sort of refeeding programme - my intentions are to get to a BMI of 25 and then join WW as I've had quite good losses from that earlier on this year - it's all about being prepared!

Anyway, Day 3 - hard work but feeling positive - stomach feels hideously bloated but probs down to TOTM that came on the same day as started Exante so hopefully it'll jog on and tke the water away.

I wish everyone else luck!

Good luck love! I have a brother too who is also very skinny, eats all the crap he likes and gets even skinnier it seems! I don't have a sister but it would probably be worse haha! :D Don't compare too much though with her, she is herself and you are you. Just focus on your needs. :) xx

Good luck Nonnibear. I've just started day 4 on Exante. Rubbish timing for your TOTM with you starting your diet. If you're feeling a bit wobbly, just think about how lovely you'll look in your bridesmaid dress.

That's ALL I am thinking about! Haha!! Have you all taken 'Before' shots? I did the other day, made my mum take them when I was wearing a black vest and black leggings so hiding nothing! I wouldn't let her show me them, I thought I'd wait until I'd lost 3/4 stone and then have a peek. When I did this on LL though, I couldn't stop crying - I showed my best friend and asked her why she didn't tell me I was so fat - she looked equally flabbergasted and said that she didn't know I was that fat!!! Haha!

Anyways, wee'd on the stick today - pretty purpley pink - just got to get through Friday night (danger) now! Bring on the soda water!

I am worried about my first Friday night without food or alcohol but I'm just going to take each day and each hour as it comes. This is how I've managed to be 100% in my first week so hopefully that will help. My sister lost 6 stones for my wedding 10 years ago and her incentive was that I'd chosen a very straight bridesmaid dress for her and she literally had to fit into it!!!

Cheers Supersalmon! I'm a bit of a party animal and know I'll really miss the booze! Oh well, plenty of time to worry about it.

I bought a dress from Primark the other day - was really surprised I found one in there if I'm honest as I never see anything in there - anyway, I have washed it and it's SHRUNK!!! GRRRRRR!!!!!

Right - am heading out for Friday evening celebrations…wish me luck, kids!

Good luck tonight, just think of how fab you will feel in your dress once you have lost some weight

Thanks Chelsea! I've just got home, sober as a judge!

Hi, welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey! You're going to look amazing in that bridesmaid dress! ;) x

Well done you seem to be going well so far :)
I also love the booze :) just remember this diet isn't forever, you'll be done before you know it :)

Thanks guys!!! I did a 12 hour bar shift today - packed to the rafters cos of rugby AND I STUCK TO IT!!!!!

This includes waving away a free burger and chips, breakfast sandwich and drinks after work. Pretty much unheard of!!

That's some display of willpower! Well done you.......good luck for the coming months. I've just started this week and i have a very long journey ahead so i'll be here x

Thanks -Every time I've tried to restart it, I haven't made it a week so I'm looking forward to weighing in on Tuesday!

I'm a proper geek - I've made a wee spreadsheet to keep up to date with my weight loss and projected weight loss to compare to actual weight loss!

Today has been a lazy day - have tanked the water - coming in at around 4 litres a day (old LL habit). Hate tap water so drink Tesco Value sparkling water (16p each) through a straw and find it really easy to drink. Had an Asda meal replacement bar instead of a shake - tasted nice actually and pretty cheap - will make the cost of the shakes stretch a bit longer!

I've found that since I've stopped eating, I spend quite a lot of time online shopping which isn't ideal - don't want to swap one addiction for another!

Anyhoo, lazy Sunday nearly over then back to work tomorrow. Am going to try and go swimming though (I'm prob being tight) it costs over £5 to swim in London! Shocking!

I'm off work on maternity leave with my 3 month old little girl.
I think this makes doing this diet easier as she only drinks milk and i'm not around food.
With the extra time on my hands i've been sorting out cupboards and draws and throwing lots of stuff away.
Sorted out my wardrobe today......found clothes from size 12 to size 22!! I have been up and down those sizes since 2008!
I go back to work in july and have to fit in a uniform....god help me!
I am struggling with water but am going to try and drink a second 2 lt bottle tonight.

I used to wear a uniform to work and the uniform was outdoor trousers and a polo shirt/hoodie which I had ranging from S to XL! Whereabouts in Laaandaaan are you?
