Red Day HEXB Potato Query

Hey all,

Im on a red day tonight and planning on using one of my HEXB's as potato.

Is it 227g of potato's you can have as one HEXB? If so, is that 227g with or without the skin on and is that the before or after cooking weight?

Thanks xx

On a red day potatoes have have their skins to count as a HEB.

A HEB jacket potato is 227g and HEB of new potatoes is 198g.

Both are surprisingly big portions of potatoes when weighed. Which makes me even more grumbly about the very meagre portion of wholemeal pasta you are allowed as a HEB on red.

Enjoy your tea!

Thanks, it's Maria Piper potatos and I will me making them into wedges, so 227g (uncooked weight) is fine as a hexb, nice one, thanks!

Does it have to be Maris Piper? Cos I just get tatoes from the Market!

This doesn't seem to be on the Healthy Extras list now on the website!Have they changed it?Confused!

The pototoes are listed under vegetables on the red hexb list, and you can stil have a 227g jacket with skin or 198g new potatoes with skin, both raw weights.

Anyone know how big a hex jacket potato would look visually, im buying lunch out and don't want to eat too much! Fist size? Thanks

A fist size one is about 225-250g, so you'd need a very small fist sized one :)
