Anyone any good ideas- he says he doesn't want to do anything and no fuss- I've told him we will be doing something.

This is our first bday together so wanna do something special but not too expensive

Thanks :)

Yeah sounds good I keep asking him and he's like I don't wanna do anything lol

Men are unusual too. My boyfriend has booked my bday off work thus year, but as he says they mean nothing to him! He doesn't really wanna do anything usually so we sometimes just go out and I cook for him. But just try and have a simple day and enjoy it! Good luck, men are annoying.

Something simple like a nice dinner or a picnic would be good. Or have a nice evening of DVDs and takeaway :) Special but not fuss :)

I booked mine a days falconry experience and he loved it!

Mine got that for Christmas, we finally went a couple of weeks ago (due to weather etc) and it was SO fun!!! Best day ever!!
Mainly cos there was an owl there who kept saying "hoo..... hoo-errrrr" which amused me greatly.

Ideas... hmmmm.... I'm not the best person for this. Last birthday, I stole my blokes spare house key and snuck home at lunchtime to stick banners and balloons and stuff up, then took him out for a surprise meal (at KFC cos we were running out of time) and then to see Sean Lock. It was just coincidence that Sean Lock was on the same day as his birthday.. But I don't really "do" low-key.

A home cooked meal would be nice I think, and a good film on the box. Or if you / he has a PS3, Wii, or Kinect, some messing about and being silly. Something fun :)

Have fun whatever you decide :) And happy birthday to him!

OH! and a chocolate muffin with a birthday candle in :D

Thanks guys for all your suggestions!! We are going out fir dinner to the first place we went on a date! His idea- then on the sat we are going shooting ( he is big into clay pigeon shooting )

And the cinema- so for somebody who doesn't do a fuss- he is getting one lol xx

Should be good and he seems happy

Lol my BF is the same, doesn't like the fuss at all- we'd only been together a couple of months for his first bday as a couple so I literally cooked for him. my birthday is 6 months later, he took me to the rooftop gardens and babylon restaurant in Kensington -talk about making me look like a muppet! I have a massive bday planned for him this year :)

Your partners birthday sounds awesome - romantic and stuff he loves, and he'll bloody love the fuss won't he!

I've seen with my husband that it's better not to ask men what they want, they never know and almost never cares. I think most men are quite laid back like that. So I would just surprise him with a nice home cooked weight watchers meal. The complete cookbook has some really nice recipes in it.

If his birthday was already, what did you do?
