Started VLCD again today

Hi all,
Today I have restarted VLCD.

I started LighterLife in January 2008 and lost 9 stone in 6 months before falling off out of sheer boredom.

I then toyed with LL for a bit from time to time and could not get back into it.

I kept the weight off pretty well - I put on about 2 stone in the year after finishing LL and then maintained that for a good while.

Unfortunately Last March I suffered a back problem that has meant that I have been unable (or too worried ) to do any exercise.
I have put on another couple of stone or so in the last year feeling sorry for myself and sitting on my arse.

I have had good intentions to start VLCD again and even bought a load of diet stuff, but with a lot of work and travel recently I had plenty of excuses to not start it.

Today that ended. I am now back on it - using up the packs I have left (plus an order I placed with uk dietworld dotcom for some extra bars as I did not have enough).

I have enough soups shakes and bars for 7 weeks and will see how I get on.

My plan is to then rejoin LighterLife and complete the journey I started in 2008. I want to reach my target (which I came so close to) and then complete Route to Management.

Looking forward to getting back into my medium sized clothes again soon!

P.S. I haven't updated my weightloss graph, and will not do so until I get to a lower weight - This will be a bit of motivation for me I hope :)

Hi Mikey
Good luck on your restart, I lost 4 stone on LL 3 years ago and have since put it all and abit more back on, no one's fault but my own for being lazy and putting the wrong stuff in my mouth. So starting CS (Celebrity Slim) tomorrow, want to lose about 6 stone hopefully for xmas :) Izzy

Good luck mike, you have proved you can do it, by previous weight loss so good luck this time.

Good luck with CS - I have not heard of that before. I have just emailed them to find out the nutritional values etc. of their products as if they are easily available form superdrug, they could be a useful alternative to try.

Odd that the nutritional values and calories are not on their website though.

Cheers
Mike

Thanks Bevsy.

All going well so far (aside from getting up a couple of times in the night to pee!)

I have a trip up to Norwich today so will be taking a shake with me for the long journey!

Well I failed.

I have been messing around the whole summer Low carbing and trying to do sole source, but the usual summer stuff has given me an easy route out. Trips abroad for my business, trip to Disneyland Paris with the family and then 2 weeks in Florida made me weak :)

That ends now and strong Mike is back.

Today is the first day in my new regime. It is 3 years and 9 months almost to the day since I started at LL and did very well.

I will do what I said before - get down to where I was when I last attended LL and then rejoin and complete the plan where I left off.

I have a couple of events coming up but am fully focused on continuing abstenance.

I remember telling everybody that this diet is the easiest in the world, but I now know to add the following proviso - Once you are properly on it!

Please wish me fortitude as I get back on track.

Hi Mike, I am on Slim & Save and the company that manufacturer for S&S also manufacturer some shakes for LL I have also done LL and find the shakes very similar in taste and they have a nicer range of flavours IMO

Thanks gb98 - looks good and deffo the cheapest option - £125 for 4 weeks delivered (super saver)

Looks like the same old bariatrix stuff in the kee diet and avidlite range so not the same as lighterlife but the bars are great!

Into Day2 now and all ok so far.

Hi Mike,

Good luck on getting back on LL. I did LT 6 years ago and lost 5 stone plus another on low cal / low carb eating and kept it off for quite a while but eventually piled it back on so am now back but on Slim and Save and the flavours are fantastic compared to LT. Are the UK Dietworld meals / shakes / bars the same as LL or are they similar to the Avidlite products?

Hi mike, sorry i didnt say its same as LL but bariatrix manufacture some of LL range so IMO its going to be of good quality x

No problem - I wonder what they make for LL...

I think the Bariatrix bars are great - better than LL, but the soups and shakes are not as tasty or as thick.

With the LL packs I was able to make custard and a thick shake (with ice), but the Bariatrix stuff just does not seem to thicken up and is pretty disappointing.

I also miss the LL Orange drink - I wish I could find the supplier

The UK Dietworld seem to be made by Bariatrix too, but the flavours I have are different to the ******** - kee diet (Bariatrix) I have left so I could not be 100% sure.

Damn censors kicking in again - I hate them - where is free speech?
