Giving up after 5 days : (

Well I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself. I am coming to the conclusion that my body is rebelling against the diet. Couldn't sleep for vile headache last night, (probably because I didn't drink enough yesterday) still suffering now, loss of concentration, nausea, coldness, generally feeling tired. I can't face any more water, black tea or coffee. I don't think it's a bug so I really can't make mind up whether to just refeed or not:cry: ps. I feel such a failure
 
My advice would be please carry on until your first WI you will be amazed by the results.. If u don't feel like u want to continue then I would defo refeed so u don't have a big gain..
The first week is tough but it's worth it!!
 
I agree with foo fan do give it till first weigh in....you re going through the carb withdrawal and thats why we feel crap on vlcd for the first few days. day 5 was always my worst day, but i promise it does get easier:)

but if you do decide to add food, refeed is the best option xx
 
Nenya I am on day 5 too and have the exact same symptoms - the worst is the tiredness and oh so grumpy! I promise promise it will get better....give it to day 10 and see how you feel. I am here on the exact same stage and I will help you with encouragement, you can do the same for me when I feel like chucking it in! xx
 
hey hun come on drink some water go have a nap and then see how you feel you can do this we all can occording to the video u can have pepermint tea so try some and add sweetners to your shakes it really help day five is amazing! i understand its difficult but you will feel worst if you jack it in now at least try it for 30days! in a few days time your body should be use to it and you will feel a lot better i promise!!!
 
Ty everyone,:heartpump: .been outside for a bit and tried 2 get my positive head on, 2 paracetamols for headache and some caffeine, decided to get weighed tomorrow and see the result. Watching 'come dine with me' and just imagining food instead of eating it. lol x
 
Girls I bet you are hitting ketosis. It usually kicks in around days 3-5. It is like the flu! Or that is how it hits me but give it 24 hours and you will be IN ketosis and feeling better. Hunger will relatively a thing of the past. Take paracetemol and a hot water bottle and pamper yourself till it passess. No major physical activity till you are feeling better if you can.

Hot bath and bed - tomorrow you will feel better. Don't forget once you are in ketosis the pounds really start burning off! Enjoy the first weigh in! It is the best and mind blowing! Hang in there till weigh in!

Just a thought but maybe you could try cutting down on the caffeine?
I know if I have too much I get horrendous headaches and irritability. If I am dehydrated it makes it worse.jmho
 
stick with it!!! I was feeling just how you feel yesterday, which was my day 5! but I honestly feel so much better today!! first week is nearly done and it's definitely the worst!! think of the weight loss and keep strong - you can do this and things will get better as you shrink! :)
 
Stay strong, stay with it. First week is always crap...seriously crap. headaches, grumpy, all the other symptoms. it's food cravings your body is kicking out, and it's switching to fat burning rather than the carbs. It is SO worth it, honestly....try to stick with it, i know it's hard x
 
Ty xxx I think it was lack of caffeine. I hadn't drunk any for 2 days as I switched to decaf. Feeling much better today on 'full fat' coffee
