Hi everyone,

Im hoping you can help as im really confused with EE.

I understand that you have to fill your plate 1/3 with salad/veg etc, but do oyu have to have say both meat and pasta or could i just have pasta and salad?

Also on an EE day does that mean u cannot snack on crabsticks or sw crisps? Or could i have them but i would also have to have fruit/salad veg with them?!

Im having a BBQ tomorrow and thought EE would be good as i cannot have ready made burgers or sausages so thought i could make pasta/rice and salad to go with chicken/steak.

Can i not eat as much on EE days as i can on green/red?

Very confused!!!

Any help you could give would be much appreciated - im scared to o it wrong as i really want to lose weight!!!

Thank you :)

As long as you have 1/3 superfree, the rest can be made up from any free food on extra easy-which is any free food from green and original! SW recommend you snack on superfree but you can snack on any free food really! When you count your syns, if there is a green and an original value, always take the lower of the two-hope that helps :) with the barbecue, you can have the burgers and stuff, just count them as syns

Just overall throughout the day - I eat most of my superfree as fruit snacks to be honest.

you should aim to fill a 1/3 of your plate with superfree foods, the other 2/3 of your plate, can be a choice of any of the free foods you want. It doesnt have to have both carbs and protein together.

snacks should always be superfree foods for first choice, but of course if you are not completely satisfied on just those then you can opt for free foods or use your syns. But do try to make your choices superfree first.

The idea of superfree foods, is that they control your portions of all the other free foods, and keeps you fuller for longer.

As already said - 1/3rd superfree with meals - the other 2/3rds free food. Snack on either superfree or free foods. SW crisps are not a free food btw - you need to syn them i'm afraid!

Sorry-there are loads of threads on here about it. By cutting them really thin you lose alot of the fibre & water. Also you are more likely to eat loads. Its like cake made with cous cous - not free even tbough the ingredients are.

SW crisps are to be synned?! But they are only potato roasted in frylight - are they not free???

Think about it this way. Would you sit down in the late evening and eat a couple of baked potatoes? Likely not. But you could easily sit there are chomp your way through two potatoes worth of crisps because they are less filling and very easy to overconsume. So SW say you should syn them to protect your losses unless you are having them as part of a meal.
